The net force on particle q₃ is 6.2128125 N.

What is electrostatic force?

The electrostatic force F between two charged objects placed distance apart is directly proportional to the product of the magnitude of charges and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.

F = kq₁q₂/d²

where k = 9 x 10⁹ N.m²/C²

Given is the diagram in which each of the particles has a charge of -2.35 x 10⁻⁶ C. Particles q₁ and q₂ are separated by 0.100 m and particles q₂ and q₃ are separated by 0.100 m.

Force acting on q₃ due to q₁

F₃₁  = 9 x 10⁹ x (-2.35 x 10⁻⁶)²/(0.1)²

F₃₁ = 4.97025 N(in right direction)

Force acting on q₃ due to q₂

F₃₂ = 9 x 10⁹ x (-2.35 x 10⁻⁶)²/(0.1+0.1)²

F₃₂ = 1.2425 N (in right direction)

Net force acting on particle q₃ is

F₃ = F₃₁ +F₃₂

F₃ = 4.97025 N + 1.2425 N

F₃ = 6.2128125 N

Thus the net force on a charged particle is 6.2128125 N to the right.

What would happen if you tried to use a prism to disperse a beam that contained only green light?
Margaret [11]

It is determined by the nature of the green light. Because lasers create light at almost a single frequency, green laser light would appear as a thin line of pure green. Other sources of "green" light emit light at a variety of frequencies, including yellow and blue, resulting in a strong green band in the center that fades into blue-green and yellow-green at the borders.

For example, here’s a graph of the spectrum of a green LED, showing the color range: Attachment #1

and here’s a graph of the transmission spectra of several standard photographic filters, including green: Attachment #2

Does latitude has an effect on weight? PLEASE HELP!
kotegsom [21]

Answer:

yes

it does you weigh less on the equator than at the North or South Pole, but the difference is small. Note that your body itself does not change. Rather it is the force of gravity and other forces that change as you approach the poles. These forces change right back when you return to your original latitude.

Masteriza [31]

Answer:

You can hear your friend because of diffraction of sound waves.

Explanation:

Through diffraction of sound waves, the sound waves can bend around the door spaces and spread out through any small opening on the door to reach you in the other room yet the other person is not in a direct line with you.The wavelength of sound waves in this case are longer enough to bend around the obstacle(door and the indirect path) and spread out to reach your room for you to hear your friend without directly being in line with the door for you to see them.

A circuit contains three 1,200 ohm resistors connected in parallel. The circuit's supply voltage is 12 VDC. What is the total po
Llana [10]
-- The net effective resistance of three 1200-ohm resistors in
parallel is (1200/3) = 400 ohms. That's what the battery sees.

-- Power = (voltage)² / (resistance)

               =      (12²)    /      (400)

               =        144    /      400

               =             0.36 watt .

There's no such thing as "power in the circuit".

0.36 watt is the power dissipated by the resistors.
It's the rate at which the battery must supply energy,
and the rate at which the resistors blow it off in the form
of heat, for as long as the battery lasts.
