When you cube or square a number it means to multiply a number by itself a certain amount of times. So when you square a number you multiply that same number together twice and when cubing a number you multiply that same number three times. In your case multiply 1/5 like this: 1/5 x 1/5 x 1/5

First, convert the mixed fraction (1 3/8) to an an improper fraction (11/8)

the u will mutlply by the other numbr in the equation that is 3

And, lastly, convert to a mixed fraction (only because the original fraction was in that form)
