B. As a cross country runner its very important to warm up before I run a marathon or a long distance run or just any run in general its always something I have to do. If your do the strenuous activity without warming up your muscles will be tight and will sort of go into shock. By warming up you are releasing tension in your muscles and ligaments and getting you blood flowing. In my experience I didn't warmup once before a half marathon and had to stop about a mile in because I tore my hamstring. It strained it right off the bat and kept getting worse just because I forgot to stretch! I hope this helps!

Mekhanik [1.2K]
Option C. It builds up a higher level of oxygen in the blood.

At rest, the heart pumps out about 5,000mL/min of blood. This is called the cardiac output. One can say that, at rest, the total systemic blood flow throughout the body is about 5L/min. At the extreme level of activity the heart pumps much harder and faster and is usually able to quintuple its output to about 25L/min of blood flow. This amount applies to the right side of the heart, which pumps blood to the lungs so it can pick up oxygen and drop off Carbon dioxide, and the left side of the heart that pumps it to the rest of the organs and tissues of the body.

The physician provided a service to a new patient in a custodial care center. The patient is a paraplegic who has pneumonia of m
Rainbow [258]

The CPT code that best fits this case is 99325.

In healthcare, CPT codes are used to identify the types of services provided to a patient. In this way, there are different codes for diagnostic services, surgeries, etc.

In the case described, the service provided has the following characteristics:

  • The patient is new.
  • He is a custodial care center.
  • This is only a regular domiciliary visit.
  • This case is just a low complexity case.

Based on this information we can conclude:

  • The patient can be classified as a level 2 because his case is not very complex.
  • The patient is in a custodial care center rather than in his own home or hospital.
  • This is a new patient, not an established patient.

Now, the code to describe these features is 99325 because the codes 99324 to 99337 are used to describe patients in custodial care visits, and the last number (5) determines the patient is a new level 2 patient.

Note: This question is incomplete because the question statement is missing. Here is the missing section.

Add the CPT code to each situation.
