The acceleration is  1.55 m/s^2 while is component that is parallel to the ground is 0.775  m/s^2.

<h3>What is acceleration?</h3>

The term acceleration is the rate of change of speed. Given that the distance covered is 35.0 m and the final velocity is 10.43 m/s it the follows that;

v^2 = u^2 + 2as

u = 0 because he started from rest

v^2 = 2as

a = v^2/2s

a = (10.43 m/s)^2/2 * 35.0 m

a = 1.55 m/s^2

The component of this acceleration which is parallel to the ground is;

ax = a sin θ

ax =  1.55 m/s^2 cos 60

ax = 0.775  m/s^2

What is the change in electric potential energy in moving an electron from a location 3 × 10-10 m from a proton to a location 7
joja [24]

Answer:

4.39 x 10^-19 J

Explanation:

q1 = 1.6 x 10^-19 C

q2 = - 1.6 x 10^-19 C

r1 = 3 x 10^-10 m

r2 = 7 x 10^-10 m

The formula for the potential energy is given by

U1 = k q1 q2 / r1 = - (9 x 10^9 x 1.6 x 10^-19 x 1.6 x 10^-19) / (3 x 10^-10)

U1 = - 7.68 x 10^-19 J

U2 = k q1 q2 / r2 = - (9 x 10^9 x 1.6 x 10^-19 x 1.6 x 10^-19) / (7 x 10^-10)

U2 = - 3.29 x 10^-19 J

Change in potential energy is

U2 - U1 = - 3.29 x 10^-19 + 7.68 x 10^-19 = 4.39 x 10^-19 J

A 4500-kg spaceship is in a circular orbit 190 km above the surface of Earth. It needs to be moved into a higher circular orbit
Maslowich

Answer:

Explanation:

Total energy of a satellite in an orbit , h height away

= -  GMm /2 ( R + h )

When h = 380 km

Total energy of a satellite = \frac{6.67\times10^{-11}\times5.97\times10^{24}\times 4500}{2\times(6378+380)\times10^3}

=  - 13.25 x 10¹⁰ J

When h = 190 km

Total energy of a satellite =

\frac{6.67\times10^{-11}\times5.97\times10^{24}\times 4500}{2\times(6378+190)\times10^3}

=   - 13.63 x 10¹⁰ J

Diff

= 38 x 10⁸ J Energy will be required.
