Seems to be an ideal gas law question. The relevant equation is:

PV = nRT

where P is the pressure in atmospheres, V is the volume in liters, n is the number of moles of gas, R is the gas constant (0.082 atm-L/mole-deg K), and T is temperature in Kelvins. STP means standard temperature and pressure and this is taken as 1 atm and 0º C or 273 K.

To calculate the number of molecules we will use the constant 6.023 * 10^23 molecules/mole and, therefore, we will need to know the number of moles (n). So, first we’ll rearrange the gas law equation, isolating ’n’ and then put the numbers in.

n = PV/RT = 1 * 1 / (0.082)(273) = 0.0447 moles

So, to calculate the number of molecules, multiple this by the number of molecules in a mole and you get:

# molecules of nitrogen in 1 Liter at STP = 6.023 * 10^23 molecules/mole * 0.0447 moles = 2.6905 * 10^22 molecules

Note, it does not matter what the gas is.

Answer:

6.721 x 10 ^23 molecules

Explanation:

At STP an ideal gas has 22.4 liters per mole

25 liters / 22.4 liters/mole = 1.11607 moles

1.11607 moles *   6.022 x 10^23  molecules/mole = 6.721 x 10^23 molecules

In a nuclear fusion reaction, the mass of the products is(1) less than the mass of the reactants because some
dusya [7]
The correct answer is option 1. The mass of the products is less than the mass of the reactants because some of the mass has been converted to energy. Fusion reaction happens when two or more nuclei combine or collide to form an element with a higher atomic number. In this process, some of the matter of the fusing nuclei is converted to energy.

Volume of HCl used 25.0mL 4 l
borishaifa [10]

Answer:

1.0 M

Explanation:

Reaction equation;

KOH(aq) + HCl(aq) -----> KCl(aq) + H2O(l)

Concentration of acid CA = ?

Concentration of base CB = 1.0 M

Volume of base VB = 25.60 - 0.50 = 25.1 ml

Volume of acid VB =  25.0 ml

Number of moles of acid NA = 1

Number of moles of base NB =2

CAVA/CBVB =NA/NB

CAVANB = CBVBNA

CA = CBVBNA/VANB

CA = 1 * 25.1 * 1/25.0 *1

CA = 1.0 M

What is the empirical formula of C3H6N2
Evgen [1.6K]

Answer:

The empirical formula of the compound C₃H₆N₂ is C₃H₆N₂

Explanation:

The empirical formula of a compound is the formula of the compound given in the (smallest) whole number ratio of the elements of the compound

The empirical formula of S₂O₂ is SO

The empirical formula of C₃H₆O₃ is CH₂O

The given compound's molecular formula is C₃H₆N₂

The smallest whole number ratio of of the elements of the compound is 3:6:2, therefore, the empirical formula of the compound C₃H₆N₂ is C₃H₆N₂.
