Ethene on combustion reaction produces CO₂ and H₂O,

                     C₂H₄  +  3 O₂   →    2 CO₂  +  2 H₂O

According to Equation,

             28.05 g (1mole) C₂H₄ produced  =  88 g (2 mole) of CO₂
So,
                     100 g of C₂H₄ will produce  =  X g of CO₂

Solving for X,

                                     X  =  (100 g × 88 g) ÷ 28.05 g

                                     X  =  313. 72 g of CO₂

The frequency of an x-ray wave is 3.0 x 1012 MHz. Its wave speed is 3.0x 108 m/s. Calculate the wavelength of the x-ray wave bel
elena55 [62]

Answer:

λ = 1*10⁻¹⁰m

Explanation:

Frequency (f) = 3.0*10¹²MHz = 3.0*10¹⁸Hz

Speed (v) = 3.0*10⁸m/s

Speed (v) of a wave = frequency (f) * wavelength (λ)

V = fλ

Solve for λ,

λ = v / f

λ = 3.0*10⁸ / 3.0*10¹⁸

λ = 1*10⁻¹⁰m

λ = 0.

What is the chemical potential of an element in its standard state? Select the correct answer below: −1.00kJ/mol 0kJ/mol 1.00kJ/
Elenna [48]

Answer:

0 kJ/mol.

Explanation:

Hello,

In this case, since the chemical potential can be represented in terms of the Gibbs free energy of formation:

\mu = \frac{\Delta _fG}{n}

Thus, since the Gibbs free energy of formation of an element is zero, the chemical potential is also zero, or just 0 kJ/mol.

Best regards.

On what basis can mixtures be classified as solutions suspensions or colloids
FinnZ [79.3K]

Answer:

A mixture is classified as a solution when there is an homogeneous mixture of the two or more substances involved in a given medium.

A mixture is classified as a suspension when there is a heterogeneous mixture of undissolved particles in a given medium.

A mixture is classified as a colloid (false solution) when the individual solute Particles are larger than the particles of true solution, but they are not large enough to be seen by the naked eye. The solutes can scatter light rays.

Electromagnetic wave travels faster through air than metal.

Option A

Explanation:

There are different kinds of wave energy. The most significant are electromagnetic and mechanical waves. The mechanical waves propagate through the medium by transfer of energy by vibrating of particles in medium.

So, the more number of particles present in the medium, the more fast the mechanical wave can propagate. So the mechanical waves travel faster in metals consisting of more number of free charge carriers. But electromagnetic waves does not need any of the medium to propagate. So it can travel faster in air than in metals.

Do you think Hugh would have been able to perform this experiment in his laboratory at home 20 years ago? Explain your answer.
aliya0001 [1]

Answer:scientists finished deciding the human genome in 2001. This research helped genetics analyze and islote sections of DNA for investigation. Without this information and the technology invented during the Human Genome Project, Hugh would not have been able to extract portions of his daughters DNA. Also, he wouldn’t have been able to see the genes that did not function properly in his daughters DNA.

Explanation: this is a right answer for PLATO.
