The final speed of an airplane is v = 92.95 m/s

The rate of change of position of an object in any direction is known as speed i.e. in other word, Speed is measured as the ratio of distance to the time in which the distance was covered.

Solution-

Here given,

Acceleration a= 10.8 m/s2 .

Displacement (s)= 400m

Then to find final speed of airplane v=?

Therefore from equation of motion can be written as,

v²=u²+ 2as

where, u is initial speed, v is final speed ,a is acceleration and s is displacement of the airplane. Therefore by putting the value of a & s in above equation and (u =0) i.e. the initial speed of airplane is zero.

v²= 2×10.8 m/s²×400m

v²=8640m/s

v=92.95m/s

hence the final speed of airplane v =92.95m/s

A 300 kg piano needs to be moved to the other side of the room. The maximum static frictional force is equal to 90 N and the kin
riadik2000 [5.3K]

Answer:

a = 0.1 m/s²

Explanation:

  • If the maximum static frictional force is 90 N, this means that any applied force that will overcome this force, will cause the piano to slide, so kinetic frictional force applies.
  • Under these conditions, the net force in the horizontal direction is just the difference between the applied force (which is larger that the static friction force) and the kinetic frictional force, as follows:

       F_{net}  = F_{app} -F_{frk}  = 100 N - 70 N = 30 N (1)

  • By the same token, according Newton's 2nd Law, this force is just equal to the product of the mass of the piano, times the acceleration, as follows:

       F_{net} = m* a = 300 Kg * a = 30 N (2)

  • Solving for a:

        a = \frac{F_{net}}{m} = \frac{30 N}{300kg} = 0.1 m/s2 (3)

What is a constellation as astronomers define it today? What does it mean when an astronomer says, “I saw a comet in Orion last
MissTica

Explanation:

Constellation: The complete sky has been divided in 88 different areas, in a way we have divided Earth in countries, not necessarily having same shapes and size. These 88 areas are known as constellations. These contains a lot of stars. When we join the brightest stars together we can imagine a shape out of them which is called as Asterism. Most of the people are unaware of this difference. Some of the famous constellations are Orion, Taurus, Gemini, Hydra, Ursa Major etc.

When an astronomer says that there is a comet is in the Orion, he means that a comet is in the boundaries of Orion constellation.

An astronaut goes to Mars to do some experiments. Explain why her mass stays the same but her weight changes.
Snowcat [4.5K]
Because mass does not change from place to place but weight does change from place to place... why? because weight is the amount of gravitational force on an object and mass is the amount of matter in an object. mars has less gravitational force so an object will weigh less than it really weighs there
