The great thinkers of the age of Enlightenment influenced the founding fathers of the United States by offering ideas of human rights, government by the people, and individualistic powers that promote the greatest freedom possible.

The making of American government benefited a lot from the Enlightenment movement. Thinkers like John Locke, Voltaire and Rousseau influenced the Founding Fathers to prepare a system of government in which the citizens hold the ultimate power. For this reason, the US government has implemented a system that:

The right to vote is given to the citizens by local, state, and federal officials.

A Bill of Rights ensures that citizens are given rights, and freedom is protected.

A federal government consists of three branches.

If I'm assuming correctly that "courteous behavior" is one option, then that is the answer :)

You've probably heard the word "courtesy" or the phrase "common courtesy" before. Courteous is the adjective form of that word and it means polite/considerate. Jonas holding the door open is being polite/considerate or courteous, and he is showing courteous behavior.

Greg reasons "I can't cheat. I need a good grade but knowledge is the most important thing. I must try." Which philosophy best d
Mars2501 [29]

Answer:

Kantian Ethics

Explanation:

According to a different source, these are the options that come with this question:

 • Egoism
 • Act utility
 • Rule utility
 • Kantian Ethics

In this example, Greg is employing Kantian ethics to deal with this question. Kantian ethics are an example of a deontological moral theory. This means that an act is wrong or right not based on the consequence of the act, but based on whether this act fulfills our duty or not. In this example, Greg argues that he "must try." This is the duty he has to fulfill. Therefore, the way in which he thinks about morality is based on duties, and whether these apply to him or not.
