To Predict the motion of each of the markers relative to the edges of the valley, Scientists use the Glen-Nye Flow Law.

The Glen-Nye Flow Law is then used to forecast the movement of the markers. Markers are moved and measured in relation to the valley's rim where the glacier moves.

Glaciers are a valuable resource in several places of the world. This is true because glaciers' characteristics and behaviour have an effect on the hydrologic, geologic, and biological processes in their immediate surroundings.

Because of the aforementioned, glaciologists keep an eye on glaciers and attempt to predict how they will move and look.

The usage of markers is one method employed by glaciologists in the observation and forecasting of glaciers.

Mathematical relation is:

∑= krⁿ

Where,

∑= shear strain (flow) rate

r = stress

n = a constant

k = a temperature dependent constant

Why are the outlets in homes never wired in series? What problems might this present?
rosijanka [135]
A series circuit means that there is only one current. Which means that everything is sharing that one wire. Homes are normally wired with a parallel circuit, which means that there is more than one current running through the house. If you have a series, if you turn on one thing for example a light switch, than everything will turn on with it. But of you have  a parallel you can turn on everything one by one, and save energy.

Trust me. I just took my semester test in physical science this morning, and I passed. This is exactly what we learned. <span />

A Scooter travelling at 10m/s speed up to 20m/s in 4 sec.find the acceleration of scooter
stira [4]

Answer:

2.5 m/s²

Explanation:

Given,

Initial speed ( u ) = 10 m/s

Final speed ( v ) = 20 m/s

Time ( t ) = 4 seconds

To find : Acceleration ( a ) = ?

Formula : -

a = ( v - u ) / t

a = ( 20 - 10 ) / 4

= 10 / 4

= 5 / 2

a = 2.5 m/s²

Therefore,

The acceleration of the scooter is 2.5 m/s²

When an automobile moves with constant speed down a highway, most of the power developed by the engine is used to compensate for
uysha [10]

Answer:

F=5449 N

Explanation:

Work done is a product of force and displacement ie

Work done, W, = Force*Displacement

Power, P, is Work done/Time

P=\frac {W}{t}=\frac {FS}{t} where P is power, W is work done, F is force, S is displacement and t is time

In this case, F is the frictional force. Converting the power from hp to W, we multiply by 746 hence P=746*168=125328  W

Since displacement/time is velocity, then

P=FV where V is velocity in m/s

Making F the subject

F=\frac {P}{V}

F=\frac {125328}{23}=5449.043478  N

F=5449 N

100 POINTS!!! :D
charle [14.2K]

Explanation:

... in every interaction, there is a pair of forces acting on the two interacting objects. The size of the force on the first object equals the size of the force on the second object. The direction of the force on the first object is opposite to the direction of the force on the second object. Forces always come in pairs - equal and opposite action-reaction force pairs.
