128

This question requires us to solve an infinite GP

As we can see the first unit is 16 wide, then 8, then 4 and so on; this can be written as

64(1,0.5,0.25,0.125,....\infinity∞)  (64 used as 16*4 = 64 is the area of the first rectangle)

We have  S∞=a/(1-r) where a is the first term and r is the common ratio of the GP for summing an infinite GP.

here we have

a=64  \\   r=0.5

Therefore

S∞=\frac{64}{1-0.5} \\\\=\frac{64}{0.5} \\\\=128

Triangles J K L and X Y Z are shown. Angles K J L and Y X Z are right angles. The length of Y X is 10. The length of hypotenuse
pickupchik [31]

ΔJKL and ΔXYZ CANNOT be congruent triangles because: the hypotenuse of one triangle is equal in length to the leg of the other triangle.

<h3>What are Congruent Triangles?</h3>

Congruent triangles are triangles whose corresponding sides are congruent to each other.

The hypotenuse of triangle JKL(KL = 10) is congruent to a leg of triangle XYZ (YX = 10). This implies that they cannot be congruent triangles.

Therefore, ΔJKL and ΔXYZ CANNOT be congruent triangles because: the hypotenuse of one triangle is equal in length to the leg of the other triangle.

Solve for x and y: <br> Thanks for the help!
sweet-ann [11.9K]

Answer:

x = 2

y = 15

Step-by-step explanation:

As the triangle is split with a line that is parallel to the base:

\implies x:6=6:18

\implies \dfrac{x}{6}=\dfrac{6}{18}

\implies x=\dfrac{6\cdot 6}{18}

\implies x=\dfrac{36}{18}

\implies x=2

Similarly:

\implies y:20=6 : (6+x)

\implies y:20=6:8

\implies \dfrac{y}{20}=\dfrac68

\implies y=\dfrac{6 \cdot 20}{8}

\implies y=\dfrac{120}{8}

\implies y=15

Use the Law of Sines to solve the triangle.<br> 6.) A=60 degrees, a=9, c=10
lesantik [10]
SinA /a = sin C / c
sin 60/9 = sin C / 10
(√3/2)/9 = sinC/ 10
√3/18 = sin C / 10
so c will be sin inverse ((10√3)/10)
