12.7% NaCl

Hello, I believe this question is talking about the mass percentage of sodium chloride and we must use stoichiometry and then divide by the total mass of the mixture

This is what I did

0.12g Na x 1/22.99 x 1NaCl/Na x 58.44/1

This will result in 0.305 grams

When then divide this by 2.4

0.305/2.4 = 0.127, then multiply by 100

12.7%

How do solve for density?
Pachacha [2.7K]
Density(D) is defined as Mass(M) divided by Volume(V).

The formula for Density is:

D = M / V.

Another way to remember the formula for Density is to remember "Mass per unit of volume".

I hope this helps!

A 41.1 g sample of solid CO2 (dry ice) is added to a container at a temperature of 100 K with a volume of 3.4 L. If the containe
Morgarella [4.7K]

Answer:

The pressure inside the container is 6.7 atm

Explanation:

We have the ideal gas equation: P x V = n x R x T

whereas, P (pressure, atm), V (volume, L), n (mole, mol), R (ideal gas constant, 0.082), T (temperature, Kelvin)

Since the container is evacuated and then sealed, the volume of the body of gas is the volume of the container.

So we can calculate the pressure by

P = n x R x T / V

where as,

n = 41.1 g / 44 g/mol = 0.934 mol

Hence P = 0.934 x 0.082 x 298 / 3.4 L = 6.7 atm

What is the role of meteorites in the formation of life?
CaHeK987 [17]

Answer:

Meteorites are consensually considered to be involved in the origin of life on this Planet for several functions and at different levels: (i) as providers of impact energy during their passage through the atmosphere; (ii) as agents of geodynamics, intended both as starters of the Earth’s tectonics and as activators of local hydrothermal systems upon their fall; (iii) as sources of organic materials, at varying levels of limited complexity; and (iv) as catalysts.
