Answer:

True

Step-by-step explanation:

We use definitions to help us in this problem. The definition of an integer is a whole number that is not a fraction or has any fractional value. This definition includes all whole numbers, so we know that all whole numbers can be classified as integers. That's one condition done. The definition of a rational number is a number that can be written as a fraction. All whole numbers can be written as a fraction (i.e. 12/1, -3/1, 10000/1). This means that all whole numbers are also rational numbers, giving us our final answer of True.

FINAL ANSWER: True

A 1.5 kilogram lab cart accelerated unitorily from rest to a speed of 2.0 meters per second in 0.50 second What is the magnitude
NISA [10]
Acceleration = (change in speed) / (time for the change)

Change in speed = (speed at the end) minus (speed at the beginning.

The cart's acceleration is

(0 - 2 m/s) / (0.3 sec)

= ( -2 / 0.3 ) (m/s²) = -(6 and 2/3) m/s² .

Newton's second law of motion says

Force = (mass) x (acceleration) .

For this cart: Force = (1.5 kg) x ( - 6-2/3 m/s²)

= ( - 1.5 x 20/3 ) (kg-m/s²)

= - 10 newtons .

The force is negative because it acts opposite to the direction
in which the cart is moving, it causes a negative acceleration,
and it eventually stops the cart.

Hey if anyone could help me solve this that be awesome :D
Montano1993 [528]
I'm here to help.  Those 3 points all lie on the same line.  We know this because if we find the slope between any 2 of those points, it is the same.  I'll show you: m= \frac{12-20}{15-10}=- \frac{8}{5}.  Now another 2 points: m= \frac{4-12}{20-15}=- \frac{8}{5}.  The same holds for the first and third points.  So we got that out of the way.  Now we will pick any one of those points and use the x and y values and our slope to write an equation of that line and then finally solve for the x and y intercepts.  I'm going to use the first point (10, 20): y-20=- \frac{8}{5}(x-10).  We will simplify to get it into y = mx + b form: y-20=- \frac{8}{5}x+ \frac{80}{5} and y-20=- \frac{8}{5}x+16 and finally, y=- \frac{8}{5}x+36.  The y-intercept exists when x = 0, so when x = 0, y = 36.  The x-intercept exists when y = 0, so when y = 0, x = 22.5.  In summary, y-intercept: (0, 36).  x-intercept: (22.5, 0)  and you're all done!

A company needs 713 slices of pizza for a company party. If each pizza is cut into 8 slices, about how many whole pizzas should
alukav5142 [94]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the number of WHOLE pizzas needed, we need to divide the total number of slices needed (713) by 8 slices. Thus

\frac{713}{8}=89.125

<em>because we can't order fractional pizza, we need to round up. So we will need 90 pizzas.</em>

<em>Correct answer is D.</em>
