<h3>What is the HIV?</h3>

HIV stands for human immunodeficiency virus.

This virus is a retrovirus and causes the disease condition AIDS.

The virus attacks the immune system of an infected person and destroys it rendering the person susceptible to various diseases.

The genetic material present in HIV is the RNA. Upon infection, the HIV converts its RNA into DNA, and then inserts it  into the DNA of the host cell.

The interrogation process that the genetic information from HIV undergoes is part of the of the diagnosis of HIV.

In conclusion, HIV is a retrovirus.
