A material with one Nano range dimension and the other dimension large is called Quantum well material.

Nanomaterials are materials in which one of the three dimensions, internal or external, measures 100 nanometers or less. They are classified into 3: Quantum well, Quantum wire, and Quantum dot materials.

Quantum well material is a material with one dimension in the Nano range and another two large. Quantum wire material has two sizes in the Nano range and another large. Quantum dot material is a material with all dimensions in the Nano range.

There are eight men sitting on a couch. Three legs break and six men leave. How many legs are remaining
lutik1710 [3]

Explanation: Well, think about it if you see it on the logical end, there are 8 men that mean 16 legs. Then there are 4 legs of the couch as well that made it total of 20. If broken legs are of the men, then still the total will be 20 because the legs are still intact but 6 men left that means 12 legs are gone, if 3 legs break and 6 men leave. the number of legs remaining are 20–6*2–3=5....  so it's 5  I hope this helps! xoxo

At what altitude h above the north pole is the weight of an object reduced to 67% of its earth-surface value? Assume a spherical
lara31 [8.8K]

Answer:

The answer to the question is

At an altitude of 1413 km or 1.222·R above the north pole the weight of an object reduced to 67% of its earth-surface value

Explanation:

We make use of the gravitational formula as follows

F = G\frac{m_{1} m_{2} }{R^{2} }  where

m₁ = mass of the object

m₂ = mass of the earth

d = distance between the two objects and

G = gravitational constant

if at the altitude the weight is reduced to 67 % of its weight on earth then

with all other variables remaining constant, we have

67% F = G\frac{m_{1} m_{2} }{R_{2} ^{2} } =0.67× G×\frac{m_{1} m_{2} }{R_{1} ^{2} }

cancelleing like ternss from  both sides we have

1/R₂² =0.67/R₁² or r₁²/R₂² =0.67 and R₁/R₂ = 0.8185

or R₂ = R₁/0.8185 or 1.222·R = (6.37×10⁶ m)/0.8185 = 7.783×10⁶ m

Hence at an altitude = 1.413×10⁶ m the weight of the object will reduce to 67% its earth-surface value

Part A
Alona [7]

Newton thinks that object falls due to gravity whereas Einstein thinks gravity is not the reason behind it.

<h3>How did Einstein’s and Newton’s theories differ in terms of explaining the cause of gravity?</h3>

Newton concluded that objects fall because they are pulled by Earth's gravity. Einstein's thinks that these objects do not fall due to gravity. According to Einstein, these objects and Earth just freely move in a curved spacetime

So we can conclude that Newton thinks that object falls due to gravity whereas Einstein thinks gravity is not the reason behind it.
