Answer:
k = 7.84 N/m
Explanation:
We are given;
Mass hanging object; m = 0.2 kg
Extension; Δx = 0.25 m
Now, formula for the force is;
F = k•Δx
Where k is the spring constant
Since we have mass, then F = W = mg = 0.2 × 9.8 = 1.96 N
Thus;
1.96 = k × 0.25
k = 1.96/0.25
k = 7.84 N/m
Answer:
M₂ = M then L₂ = L
M₂> M then L₂ = \frac{M}{M_{2}} L
Explanation:
This is a static equilibrium exercise, to solve it we must fix a reference system at the turning point, generally in the center of the rod. By convention counterclockwise turns are considered positive
∑ τ = 0
The mass of the rock is M and placed at a distance, L the mass of the rod M₁, is considered to be placed in its center of mass, which by uniform e is in its geometric center (x = 0) and the triangular mass M₂, with a distance L₂
The triangular shape of the second object determines that its mass can be considered concentrated in its geometric center (median) that tapers with a vertical line if the triangle is equilateral, the most used shape in measurements.
M L + M₁ 0 - m₂ L₂ = 0
M L - m₂ L₂ = 0
L₂ =
L
From this answer we have several possibilities
* if the two masses are equal then L₂ = L
* If the masses are different, with M₂> M then L₂ = \frac{M}{M_{2}} L

What, it isn’t?!
Sorry, I had to.
As far as I have read and understood, the Sumerians and later the Babylonians both had astronomical calendars that already differentiated planets and stars. Earth was not the center to them, the Sun likely was. That was around 2,200 - 1,600 BC.
After that, Greek philosopher Aristarchus of Samos (310 - 230 BC) was the first (recorded) to have believed the solar system was organized around the Sun, rather than the Earth. His heliocentric model was unpopular during Aristarchus’ lifetime, although it would inspire astronomers centuries later, such as Copernicus and Galileo.
Now, there are numerous archeological findings (cave paintings) and studies, that all suggest an understanding of complex astronomy in prehistoric times dating back as far as 40,000 years. This also explains how early, prehistoric migrants may have navigated the seas.

Initially jet is moving horizontally
so we know that

now we have
PART a)
Net horizontal force is given as

Part b)
since the acceleration in vertical direction is zero
so as per Newton's law we know

PART c)
speed of the jet increases in vertical direction from ZERO to 21 m/s in 20 seconds and speed increases in horizontal direction from 95 m/s from 80 m/s in same time
vertical acceleration

horizontal acceleration

now net horizontal force will be

PART d)
Now for vertical force we have

PART e)
Now after reaching the cruising level the horizontal speed becomes constant and in vertical direction speed decrease to ZERO from 21 m/s in 13 s
So we have

now we have horizontal force as

Part f)
