Since the beaker was heated we can asume that only magnesium cloride is left in the beaker, therfore the difference between the beaker with magnesium chloride and the empty beaker give the mass of magnisium chloride:

\text{mass MgCl}_2=massbeakerwithMgCl_2-mass\text{ emprty beaker =37.83 g - 33.95g = 3.8}8g

Lithium diorganocopper (Gilman) reagents are prepared by treatment of an organolithium compound with copper(I) iodide. Decide wh
Ann [662]

Answer:

See explanation and image attached

Explanation:

The Gilman reagent is a lithium and copper (diorganocopper) reagent with a general formula R2CuLi. R is an alkyl or aryl group.

They are useful in the synthesis of alkanes because they react with organic halides to replace the halide group with an R group.

In this particular instance, we intend to synthesize propylcyclohexane. The structure of the lithium diorganocopper (Gilman) reagent required is shown in the image attached to this answer.

How does a wave get taller as
Anarel [89]

The reason why a wave get taller as it gets closer to shore is that the shallow water at the bottom of the wave makes the wave length smaller. Option B

What is a wave?

A wave is a disturbance that occurs along a medium which transmits energy. Now we now that waves travel from place to place. The horizontal distance that is travelled by a wave is what we call the wavelength of the wave.

As the wave approaches the shore, the wave tends to slow down because it is dragged from beneath. In the process, the wave grows taller. Thus, the reason why a wave get taller as it gets closer to shore is that the shallow water at the bottom of the wave makes the wave length smaller. Option B

When 1 mol of KBr(s) decomposes to its elements, 394 kJ of heat is absorbed. (a) Write a balanced thermochemical equation.
VladimirAG [237]

The balanced thermochemical equation is

KBr ------- K + 1/2 Br2

What is thermochemical equation?

A Thermochemical Equation is defined as the balanced stoichiometric chemical equation which includes the enthalpy change, ΔH.

The chemical equation for the decomposition of potassium bromide to its constituent elements bromine ans potassium :

KBr ----- K + Br2

The balanced thermochemical equation of the decomposition of potassium bromide to its constituent elements potassium and bromide as follows

KBr ------- K + 1/2 Br2

As the heat is absorbed in this reaction therefore, heat is positive.

Thus, we concluded that the balanced thermochemical equation is

KBr ------- K + 1/2 Br2

What is the relationship between temperature and kinetic energy?
m_a_m_a [10]

Answer:

Kinetic energy is the energy that an object has because of its motion. The molecules in a substance have a range of kinetic energies because they don't all move at the same speed. As a substance absorbs heat the particles move faster so the average kinetic energy and therefore the temperature increases.
