the pressure inside each of two identical cylinders is equal to atmospheric pressure. one cylinder contains hydrogen, the other

nitrogen. both gases are at the same temperature. the number of moles of hydrogen is greater than the number of moles of nitrogen. less than the number of moles of nitrogen. equal to the number of moles of nitrogen.

The number of moles of hydrogen is equal to the number of moles of nitrogen.

According to the ideal gas equation

PV = nRT

where

 • P = the pressure of the gas
 • V = the volume of gas
 • n = the total amount of ideal gas (moles)
 • R = the universal gas constant
 • T = the temperature

In the problems there are two identical cylinders means, V₁ = V₂

The pressure inside each of two identical cylinders is equal to atmospheric pressure means, P₁ = P₂

Both gases are at the same temperature, means T₁ = T₂

\frac{P_1 V_1}{P_2 V_2} \:=\: \frac{n_1 RT_1}{n_2 RT_2}

\frac{P_1 V_1}{P_2 V_2} \:=\: \frac{n_1 T_1}{n_2 T_2}

n₁ = n₂

So the total amount of hydrogen gas is equal to total amount of ideal nitrogen gas.

What are the isotopes? how all of the isotopes of an atom are similar and how are they different?
madam [21]
Isotopes are the same element with a different mass number. They are similar because once again the protons are equal to the atomic number which keeps the identity of the atom the same. But they are different because the masses of each is different.

Is the coil of wire a magnet when it is connected to a battery? Explain why or why not.
Ulleksa [173]

Answer:

When an electric current flows in a wire, it creates a magnetic field around the wire. This effect can be used to make an electromagnet . A simple electromagnet comprises a length of wire turned into a coil and connected to a battery or power supply.

insens350 [35]
When carrying out experiment in the laboratory to investigate physical changes, absolute measurement is usually not needed. For instance, one can just take a little sample of sodium chloride and dissolve it in water to demonstrate physical change. But for other experiments, such as the measurement of the catalase enzyme activity in a liver tissue. Careful measurements have to be made when preparing the chemicals that will be used in the experiment.

Explain whether hydrogen bonding is present between hydrogen

fluoride (HF) molecules
Mamont248 [21]

Hydrogen bonding occurs when hydrogen is bonded to an oxygen or nitrogen or fluorine atom. In this case, the hydrogen atom in a hydrogen fluoride molecule will be able to bond to the fluoride atom of another hydrogen fluoride molecule, forming a hydrogen bond.
