Proving triangles are congruent triangles uses theorems (postulates), the Angle Side Angle (ASA), Side Angle Side (SAS), Side Side Side (SSS), and AAS (Angle-Angle-Side).  Two triangles with equal corresponding angles may not be congruent to each other because one triangle might be an enlarged copy of the other.

Triangles that have exactly the same size and shape are called congruent triangles. The congruent triangles can be used using the Angle Side Angle (ASA), Side Angle Side (SAS), Side Side Side (SSS), and AAS (Angle-Angle-Side) theorems.

Angle Side Angle (ASA) theorem states that if any two angles and the side included between the angles of one triangle are equivalent to the corresponding two angles and side included between the angles of the second triangle, then the two triangles are said to be congruent.

Side-angle-side (SAS) theorem states that if two sides and the included angle of one triangle are equal to two sides and the included angle of another triangle, the triangles are congruent.

Side Side Side (SSS) theorem states that if all the three sides of one triangle are equivalent to the corresponding three sides of the second triangle, then the two triangles are said to be congruent.

AAS (Angle-Angle-Side) theorem states that if two angles and a non-included side of a triangle are equal to the corresponding angles and sides of another triangle, then the triangles are said to be congruent.

Solve the system of linear equations.
RoseWind [281]

Answer:

1. No solution

2. Infinite solutions

Step-by-step explanation:

1. To solve the system, set the equations equal to each other and solve for x.

2x - 5 = 2x + 7

-5 = 7

This is a false statement. This means there is no solution.

2. To solve the system, graph each equation.

y = -3/4 x - 5/2 has a y-intercept -5/2 and slope -3/4.

3x + 4y = -10 converts to y = -3/4x -5/2.

This graphs as the exact same line. This system has infinite solutions.

Titus drew a circle with his compass. The circle has five central angles. Four of the angles measure 55°, 37°, 96°, and 88°. Wha
Fiesta28 [93]

Answer:

84°

Step-by-step explanation:

The circle has five central angles that together equal to 360°.

55° + 37° + 96° + 88° = 276°

Hence, to find the fifth central angle, we have to subtract 276° from 360°.

360° - 276° = 84°

The degree measure of the last central angle is 84°.

Hope this helps! :)

MAVERICK [17]
Since we are given the values for both rows only in the second column, we can use this to solve for the rest of the missing values. Simply divide 3 by 2.49 and multiply that resultant by and multiply that by any missing value for cookies to find the missing cost. In order to solve for the cookies when cost is given, divide 2.49 by 3 and multiply that resultant. I will solve for the first, third, and fourth columns.

3/29=1.2
For column 1, 1.2*1=1.20
For column 3, 1.2*20=24.10
For column 4, 1.2*100=12.00

Find an equation for the line that passes through the points (5.-5) and (-4,-2)
ANEK [815]

Answer:

\large\boxed{y=-\dfrac{1}{3}x-\dfrac{10}{3}\to x+3y=-10}

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope-intercept form of an equation of a line:

y=mx+b

<em>m</em><em> - slope</em>

<em>b</em><em> - y-intercept</em>

The formula of a slope:

m=\dfrac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

We have the points (5, -5) and (-4, -2).

Substiute:

m=\dfrac{-2-(-5)}{-4-5}=\dfrac{-2+5}{-9}=\dfrac{3}{-9}=-\dfrac{1}{3}

Put the value of the slope and the coordinates of the point (5, -5) to the equation of a line:

-5=-\dfrac{1}{3}(5)+b

-5=-\dfrac{5}{3}+b               <em>add 5/3 to both sides</em>

-\dfrac{15}{3}+\dfrac{5}{3}=b\\\\-\dfrac{10}{3}=b\to b=-\dfrac{10}{3}

Finally we have the equation of a line in the slope-intercept form:

y=-\dfrac{1}{3}x-\dfrac{10}{3}

Convert to the standard form <em>(Ax + By = C)</em>:

y=-\dfrac{1}{3}x-\dfrac{10}{3}          <em>multiply both sides by 3</em>

3y=-x-10              <em>add x to both sides</em>

x+3y=-10
