Yes it is option D
simply if 1 mole of H2SO4 require 2 moles of NaCN, i.e. the double amount. so 3.6 moles will require 7.2 moles of NaCN

Which represents the balanced equation for the beta minus emission of phosphorus-32? Superscript 32 subscript 15 upper P right a
Ede4ka [16]

Answer: Superscript 32 subscript 15 upper P right arrow superscript 32 subscript 16 upper S plus superscript 0 subscript negative 1 e.

Explanation:

Beta Decay : It is a type of decay process, in which a proton gets converted to neutron and an electron. This is also known as -decay. In this the mass number remains same but the atomic number is increased by 1.

The general representation of beta minus emission is :

_A^Z\textrm{X}\rightarrow _{A+1}^Z\textrm{Y}+_{-1}^0e

The representation of beta decay of phosphorous- 32 :

_{15}^{32}\textrm{P}\rightarrow _{16}^{32}\textrm{S}+_{-1}^0e

Superscript 32 subscript 15 upper P right arrow superscript 32 subscript 16 upper S plus superscript 0 subscript negative 1 e.

Carvone (C10H14O) is the main component of spearmint oil. It has a pleasant aroma and mint flavor. Carvone is often added to che
marta [7]

<u>Answer:</u> The mass of carbon in given amount of carvone is 47.52 grams

<u>Explanation:</u>

To calculate the number of moles, we use the equation:

\text{Number of moles}=\frac{\text{Given mass}}{\text{Molar mass}}     .....(1)

Given mass of carvone = 55.4 g

Molar mass of carvone = 150.22 g/mol

Putting values in equation 1, we get:

\text{Moles of carvone}=\frac{55.4g}{150.22g/mol}=0.369mol

The chemical formula of carvone is C_{10}H_{14}O

This contains 10 moles of carbon atom, 14 moles of hydrogen atom and 1 mole  of oxygen atom

Now, calculating the mass of carbon in carvone from equation 1, we get:

Molar mass of carbon = 12 g/mol

Moles of carbon = (10 × 0.396) = 3.96 moles

Putting values in equation 1, we get:

3.96mol=\frac{\text{Mass of carbon}}{12g/mol}\\\\\text{Mass of carbon}=(3.96mol\times 12g/mol)=47.52g

Hence, the mass of carbon in given amount of carvone is 47.52 grams

Suppose you store a 15.5 g piece of aluminum (Cp of Al = 0.902 J/g⁰C) in the refrigerator at 2.3⁰C and then drop it into your co
Scorpion4ik [409]

Answer:

605.4 J

Explanation:

When a certain substance absorbs a certain amount of energy, its temperature increases according to  the equation:

Q=mC\Delta T

where

Q is the heat absorbed

m is the mass of the substance

C is the specific heat capacity of the substance

\Delta T is the change in temperature

In this problem, we have:

m = 15.5 g is the mass of the piece of aluminium

C = 0.902 J/g⁰C is the specific heat of the aluminium

\Delta T = 45.6-2.3=43.3^{\circ}C is the change in temperature of the aluminium (in fact, at thermal equilibrium, the block of aluminium reaches the same final temperature as the coffee)

Therefore, the energy absorbed is

Q=(15.5)(0.902)(43.3)=605.4 J
