The following reaction is given:

Mg_{(s)}+Fe^{2+}_{(aq)}\to Mg^{2+}_{(aq)}+Fe_{(s)}

So, the reaction quotient is:

Q=\dfrac{[Products]}{[Reactants]}\\\\
Q=\dfrac{[Mg^{2+}]}{[Fe^{2+}]}

Note that in the reaction quotient formula we only put the substances in the aqueous state. The substances in the solid state are not considered.

Then, we'll use the values of the statement:

Q=\dfrac{[Mg^{2+}]}{[Fe^{2+}]}=\dfrac{0.31~M}{3.50~M}\\\\
Q\approx0,08857\\\\
\boxed{Q\approx8,857\times10^{-2}}

Determine the number of grams of hcl that can react with 0.750 g of Al(OH)3 according to the following reaction Al(OH)₃(s)+3HCl(
djyliett [7]

Answer:

1040 g HCl

Explanation:

Al(OH)₃ + 3HCl => AlCl₃ + 3H₂O

moles Al(OH)₃ = 750g/78g·mol⁻¹ = 9.62 mol

moles HCl used = 3 x moles Al(OH)₃ consumed = 3(9.62)mol HCl = 1038.46 g. ≈ 1040 g HCl (3 sig.figs.)

Compared to a hydrocarbon chain where all the carbon atoms are linked by single bonds, a hydrocarbon chain with the same number
leva [86]

Answer:

Be more constrained in structure

Explanation:

This is because double bonds confer unsaturation on an organic molecules. The molecules are more ordered as they have lesser number of hydrogen atoms in them.

Having same number of carbon atoms means they are corresponding molecules.

For example. Ethyne is corresponding to ethane. Since ethyne has less number of hydrogen atoms than ethane, it will be more constrained in structure than ethane.

a weather balloon contains 8.80 moles of helium at a ppressure of 0.992 atm and a temperature os 25 C at ground level. What is t
djverab [1.8K]
We can use the ideal gas law equation to find the volume of the balloon.
PV = nRT
where
P - pressure - 0.992 atm x 101 325 Pa/atm = 100 514 Pa
V - volume
n - number of moles - 8.80 mol
R - universal gas constant  - 8.314 Jmol⁻¹K⁻¹
T - temperature in kelvin - 25 °C + 273 = 298 K
Substituting these values in the equation
100 514 Pa x V = 8.80 mol x  8.314 Jmol⁻¹K⁻¹ x 298 K
V = 217 L
volume of balloon is 217 L

Balance the following reaction. A coefficient of \"1\" is understood.
USPshnik [31]
To balance a reaction, we must say to it that the number of elements in one side is equal to the other side. For a combustion reaction such as the one given, we first need to balance the number of carbon atoms, then the hydrogen atoms and lastly the oxygen atoms.
