Hello there!

Step-by-step explanation:

Slope: \frac{Y^2-Y^1}{X^2-X^1}=\frac{rise}{run}

\frac{7-5=2}{1-(-3)=1+3=4}=\frac{2}{4}=\frac{2/2}{4/2}=\frac{1}{2}

<em><u>Slope is 1/2</u></em>

<em><u>Answer is 1/2</u></em>

Have a great day!

Hope this helps!

The balcony of an apartment is 4 feet by 7 feet. On a scale drawing of the apartment, the balcony is 0.8 inch by 1.4 inches, and
ratelena [41]
First you must find the scale.
Divide 4 by 0.8.
You get 5.
Divide 7 by 1.4.
That also gives you 5.
This means the scale drawing is 5 times smaller than the real dimensions.

On the scale drawing, the kitchen is 2.4 by 2.8 inches.
All you have to do is multiply both of these by 5 and change it to feet.
2.4 x 5 = 12
2.8 x 5 = 14
So the dimensions of the kitchen are 12 feet by 14 feet.

Write an equivalent expression for (m+5)(m-3)
AleksandrR [38]

Solve using the foil method (first, outside, inside, last).

(m + 5)(m - 3)

Your steps using foil should look like:

  1. m * m
  2. m * -3
  3. 5 * m
  4. 5 * -3

After multiplying, rewrite your expression.

m² - 3m + 5m - 15

The last step to simplifying this expression is to combine like terms, which are -3m + 5m.

<h3>m² + 2m - 15</h3>

HELP!
aivan3 [116]

Answer:

1) 59.7  2) 7.1

Step-by-step explanation:

1)The diameter of a circle is 19 m. Find the circumference to the nearest tenth

The equation to find the circumference for a circle is C=2πR or C = πD. The diameter is equal to 2r so that is why the equation works either way. Now we will plug in the numbers. C =19π. This is approximately equal to 59.6902604182 which is approximately equal to 59.7

2)AND the diameter of a circle is 3ft. Find its area to the nearest tenth.

As stated before the diameter is equal to 2r. The area of a circle is calculated using the equation πr^2. First we need to find the radius which is 1/2D. 3/2 = r or 1.5 = r. Now we can plug all values in. A = π1.5^2 which equals to 2.25π which equals to 7.06858347058 which is approximately 7.1.
