Islam is a religion based on Abrahamic, monotheistic teaching that argues that there is only one God, Allah. People who follow this religion are known as Muslims. Judaism is a religion followed by the Jewish people, while Christianity is based on the teachings of Jesus Christ and remains the largest religion in the world.

Christianity dates back to 1st century AD, after the death of Jesus as a Jewish sect in Judea. Christianity is world's largest religion ( In 2015, <u>31.2%</u> of the world population were Christians) and is immediately followed by Islam with <u>1.9 billion</u> Muslims. In 50 countries, Muslims comprise more than 50% of the population. It is believed that Islam began in Mecca and Medina at the beginning of the 7th century CE. Judaism is the tenth most widely practiced religion. Judaism is also the oldest monotheistic religion (it began almost 4000 years ago).
