Answer: Combustion

Explanation:

Methane gas or natural gas is the hydrocarbon that reacts with oxygen as shown below: CH4 + 2O2 → CO2 + 2H2O There are two types of combustion reactions: complete and incomplete combustion. Therefore there are four products, carbon dioxide, water, carbon, and carbon monoxide.

maxonik [38]

Answer:- 544.5 mL of water need to be added.

Solution:- It is a dilution problem. The equation used for solving this type of problems is:

M_1V_1=M_2V_2

where, M_1 is initial molarity and  M_2 is the molarity after dilution. Similarly,  V_1 is the volume before dilution and  V_2 is the volume after dilution.

Let's plug in the values in the equation:

1.25M(363mL)=0.50M(V_2)

V_2=\frac{1.25M(363mL)}{0.50M}

V_2=907.5mL

Volume of water added = 907.5mL - 363mL  = 544.5 mL

So, 544.5 mL of water are need to be added to the original solution for dilution.

Calculate the mass of 12.3 moles of MgSO4.
Afina-wow [57]

Answer:

614 034 kg

Explanation:

n = m/Mm

m = n * Mm

Mm(MgSO4) = 1 * 24.3 * 1 * 32.1 * 4 * 16 = 49921.92

m = 12.3 * 49921.92

m = 614 034 kg

Explain the relationship between plate tectonics and volcanos
ad-work [718]

Answer:

Plates sliding past each other cause friction and heat. Subducting plates melt into the mantle, and diverging plates create new crust material. Subducting plates, where one tectonic plate is being driven under another, are associated with volcanoes and earthquakes.

Consider a solution made from a nonvolatile solute and a volatile solvent. Which statement is true?
34kurt

Answer:

b) The boiling point of the solution is always greater than the boiling point of the pure solvent.

Explanation:

Hello,

In this case, when we add a nonvolatile solute to a volatile solvent which has a relatively low boiling point, we can evidence the increase of the boiling point of the resulting solution as more energy must be supplied to take the molecules from liquid to gas. This fact matches with the boiling point elevation colligative property due to the solute's addition, which states that the boiling point of the solution is always greater than the boiling point of the pure solvent, therefore, answer is b).

Best regards.
