The correct factorization would be (5x - 4)(25x^2 + 20x + 16).

The law of factoring cubes states that we use the following formula when we have two cubes being subtracted by one another.

(a - b)(a^2 + ab + b^2)

If we take the cube root of 125x^3 we get 5x, which will be our a value. If we take the cube root of 64, we get 4, which will be our b value. Then we plug in to the formula.

(5x - 4)((5x)^2 + (5x)(4) + 4^2)

(5x - 4)(25x^2 + 20x + 16)

I think the problem with your second answer is that you just did not properly multiply the 5x and the 4 to get 20x (instead you got 15x).

If a correlation coefficient was r = -0.94, what would this represent?
nasty-shy [4]

Answer:

this would represent a strong negative

Step-by-step explanation:

on a correlation line you have strong negatives, weak negatives, none, weak positives, and strong positives.Since the coefficient is a hand negative, focus on the left side. A weak negative is -0.5 greater than or equal to so since -0.94 is less than -0.5 it advances on to the next category of the correlation line, thus resulting in the correlation coefficient to be a strong negative.

A contract between a manufacturer and a consumer of light bulbs specifies that the mean lifetime of the bulbs must be at least 1
Alex17521 [72]

Answer:

Follows are the solution to the given points:

Step-by-step explanation:

In point a:

In this sense, describe what type of error I will be.

Type I error: to conclude that perhaps the mean bulb life would be less than three hours when it becomes (at least) 3 hours.

In point b:

Describe throughout this context what the Type II error becomes.

An error of type II: never assuming that its bulbs' mean lifetime is much less than 3 hours. three hours at least

In point c:

What error — type I and type II — would further impact the interaction between the manufacturer and the customer?

A Type II error is probably further problematic because it means that even the buyer will buy bulbs that do not last long.
