Answer:

F_e = \frac{1}{4 \pi \epsilon_0} \frac{q_1 q_2}{r^2}

Explanation:

The electrostatic force (also called Couloumb force) between two electrical charge is given by the following formula:

F_e = \frac{1}{4 \pi \epsilon_0} \frac{q_1 q_2}{r^2}

where:

\epsilon_0=8.85\cdot 10^{-12} Fm^{-1} is the vacuum permittivity

q_1 is the magnitude of the first charge

q_2 is the magnitude of the second charge

r is the distance between the two charges

This formula gives only the magnitude of the force. The direction depends on the relative sign of the two charges:

- If the two charges have same sign, the force is repulsive (this corresponds to a positive sign in the formula)

- If the two charges have opposite sign, the force is attractive (this corresponds to a negative sign in the formula)

Fe=k|q1q2| / r^2

(k is the electrostatic constant which has a value of 8.99x10^9 Nm^2/c^2, r is the distance between the charges and q is the quantity of the charges.)

During a supernova, the outer layers of a star are blown off and the star's core shrinks down by a factor of 10,000 or more to f
Lana71 [14]

Answer:

a. the core will spin faster.

Explanation:

By law of conservation of angular momentum

(mvR)i= (mvR)f

m= mass of star

v= speed of star

R= radius of star

i= initial

f= final

since, size(R) of the star is reduced by factor of 10,000 and mass remains the same, the velocity must increase by the same factor to keep the angular momentum conserved.

Hence, a. the core will spin faster.

What makes gravity work
olganol [36]
Well we have two concepts of gravity now. In Newton's concept masses create forces between them. In Einstein's concept mass distorts time and space around it and makes masses move as if there are forces between them.
So whichever concept you prefer it's the presence of mass that creates gravity.

If a wave traveling through air decreases its wavelength by half, describe what happens to the wave speed and frequency.
natka813 [3]
The frequency, the speed and the wavelength of a wave are related by the following equation:
f= \frac{v}{\lambda} (1)
where
f is the frequency
\lambda is the wavelength
v is the wave speed

The speed of the wave does depend only on the properties of the medium, so since the wave is still traveling in air, the medium has not changed and therefore the speed remains the same. We see instead from eq.(1) that the frequency is inversely proportional to the wavelength, so if the wavelength is decreased by half, we see that the frequency will double.
