Calorimeters can be improved by impeding the loss of heat to the surroundings. A few things can improve this:

better insulation
less surface area to the surroundings
accurate heating
better stirring/mixing mechanism

Two projectile launchers are beside one another on level ground. Both launchers are directed at the same angle with respect to g
kakasveta [241]

Answer:

(a) Projectile B will travel 4 times as far as projectile A prior to landing

Explanation:

Initial velocity = v

Angle at which the projectile is shot at = θ

g = Acceleration due to gravity

Range of a projectile is given by

R=\frac {v^{2}\sin 2\theta}{g}

When Initial velocity = v

R_A=\frac{v^{2}\sin 2\theta}{g}

When Initial velocity = 2v

R_B=\frac{(2v)^{2}\sin 2\theta}{g}\\\Rightarrow R_B=\frac{4v^2\sin 2\theta}{g}

Dividing the equtions, we get

\frac{R_A}{R_B}=\frac{\frac{v^{2}\sin 2\theta}{g}}{\frac{4v^2\sin 2\theta}{g}}

Here, the angle at which the projectiles are fired at are equal.

\frac{R_A}{R_B}=\frac{1}{4}\\\Rightarrow R_B=4R_A

Hence, projectile B will travel 4 times as far as projectile A prior to landing

. Reem took a wire of length 10 cm. Her friend Nain took a wire of 5 cm of the same material and thickness both of them connecte
Umnica [9.8K]

Given :

Reem took a wire of length 10 cm. Her friend Nain took a wire of 5 cm of the same material and thickness both of them connected with wires as shown in the circuit given in figure. The current flowing in both the circuits is the same.

To Find :

Will the heat produced in both the cases be equal.

Solution :

Heat released is given by :

H = i²Rt

Here, R is resistance and is given by :

R = \dfrac{\rho L}{A}

So,

H = i^2\times \dfrac{\rho L}{A} t\\\\H = \dfrac{i^2\rho Lt}{A}

Now, in the question every thing is constant except for the length of the wire and from above equation heat is directly proportional to the length of the wire.

So, heat produced by Reem's wire is more than Nain one.

Hence, this is the required solution.

What does the doppler effect indicate about the motion of galaxies?
Taya2010 [7]
When galaxies move farther away the wavelength of the light is longer causing the galaxy to shift red but if it moves closer, the wavelength of the light gets smaller causing the galaxy to blue shift. The reason that the wavelength increases or decrease is due to the doppler effect.

Distance between bholu and golu house house 9 km . bholu has to attend golu birthday party at 7am . he started from his home at
navik [9.2K]
For the rest 3 km

Bholu need to run in 5 minutes so

He need to 3 × 1000 / 5 × 60 m/s

3000/ 300 = 10 m/s

So , his speed should be 1 m/s to reach in 5 minute

. How much power is used to move a 5 kg mass 28 meters in 8 seconds?
saul85 [17]

Answer:

171.5Watts

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Mass  = 5kg

Distance  = 28m

Time  = 8s

Unknown:

Power = ?

Solution:

Power is the rate at which work is done;

       Power  = \frac{work done }{time taken}

Work done  = force x distance = mg x d =

  m is the mass

   g is the acceleration due to gravity

   d is the distance

  Work done  = 5 x 9.8 x 28 = 1372J

     Power = \frac{1372}{8}   = 171.5Watts
