Answer: (2) 0.1 M KOH

Explanation:

Thymol blue is an universal indicator. Thymol blue has a blue color when in basic conditions (pH > 7), a green color in neutral conditions (pH =7), and a yellow color in acidic conditions (pH < 7).

pH or pOH is the measure of acidity or alkalinity of a solution.  pH is calculated by taking negative logarithm of hydrogen ion concentration.

0.1 M CH_3COOH ,  0.1 M HCl  and  0.1 M H_2SO4 are all acidic in nature.

Thus thymol blue will appear blue in basic 0.1 M KOH.

The Lewis structure of which molecule requires resonance structures?A.) MgCl2B.) SiO2C.) SO2D.) OCl2
inna [77]

Answer:  C.) SO2

Explanation:  Sulfur Dioxide is the gaseous molecule which can show the resonance through lewis dot structure due to the presence of lone pairs of electrons present on all of the three atoms of the molecules. Moreover , Sulphur forms pie bond with the oxygen using p orbitals which forms a network of the conjugated system that help to elaborate the reason of the formation of the resonance structure.

Options (a), (b), and (d) cannot form resonating structures as they involve the formation of the chemical bonds through single sigma bond.

Given the speed of light (3.00 × 108 m/s) and a wavelength 5.9 × 10-7 m, what is the frequency?
Cerrena [4.2K]
Wavelength x Frequency = Speed

So, 5.9 x 10^-7 x F = 3 x 10^8

Rearranging the equation, we get:
F = (3 x 10^8)/(5.9 x 10^-7) = 5.08 x 10^14 Hz

Hope I helped!! xx
