ira [324]

The correct answer is (c) Don’t leave your tap running while brushing your teeth, shaving, or washing the dishes. Fix leaky faucets and pipes right away.

As seen in the bar graph that huge amount of water is wasted in the domestic ways. By using the water in adequate amount and saving the water that is wasted while running the tap while brushing and fixing the leaks as soon as possible will save a huge amount of water. The bar graph is covering maximum wastage of water from these sections only. By reducing the water used in brushing, leaky faucets and others can save maximum water.

Why is the nitrogen cycle important for living things?
slava [35]

Nitrogen is a crucially important component for all life. It is an important part of many cells and processes such as amino acids, proteins and even our DNA. It is also needed to make chlorophyll in plants, which is used in photosynthesis to make their food as part of these life processes, nitrogen is transformed from one chemical form to another. The transformations that nitrogen undergoes as it moves between the atmosphere, the land and living things make up the nitrogen cycle.

The death rate per 100,000 for lung cancer is 7 among non-smokers and 71 among smokers. The death rate per 100,000 for coronary
victus00 [196]

Answer:

A) 0.83 for lung cancer and 0.18 for coronary thrombosis.

Explanation:

For the population etiologic fraction due to smoking, we use the formula:

= \frac{P_s(RR_s-1)}{(1+P_s(RR_s-1))}

For lung cancer:

Given:

P_s = 55percent = 0.55

We first find RRs which is the relative risk of dying from cancer for a smoker compared to a non smoker.

RR_s = \frac{num of smokers death}{num of non-smokers death}

= \frac{71}{7}

= 10.1429

Therefore population etiologic fraction due to cancer wil be:

\frac{0.55(10.1429-1)}{1+0.55(10.1429-1)}

= \frac{5.029}{6.029}

= 0.8341

Population etiologic fraction of cancer due to smoking is 0.834

•For coronary thrombosis:

Let's use the formula:

\frac{P_s}{RR_s-1}{1-P_s(RR_s-1}

Let's first find the RRs (relative risk of dying from cornary thrombosis for a smoker compared to a non smoker)

= \frac{599}{422}

RR_s = 1.4194

The population etiologic fraction of cornary thrombosis due to smoking, will be:

= \frac{0.55(1.4194-1)}{1+0.55(1.4194-1)}

= \frac{0.231}{1.231}

= 0.187

The population etiologic fraction of cornary thrombosis due to smoking is 0.187

Therefore the answer is option (A) 0.83 for lung cancer and 0.18 for coronary thrombosis

Answer: Frontal Lobe of the brain

Explanation:

The frontal lobe of the brain is involved in reasoning, motor control, emotion, and language. It contains the motor cortex, which is involved in planning and coordinating movement; the prefrontal cortex, which is responsible for higher-level cognitive functioning; and Broca’s area, which is essential for language production. The frontal brain lobe is the largest part of our brain. The frontal brain lobe is the center for planning, speech production, body movement control, as well as problem-solving.The medial frontal area is responsible for awareness and motivation. The frontal orbital area helps shape social behavior.
