Because the distance that each object moves is in inverse proportion to their masses. That means the earth moves such a little tiny tiny tiny bit that you can't see it. but you're right. It's important to understand that when you drop a ball the ball and the earth both move toward each other.

(a) Calculate the buoyant force on a 2.00-L helium balloon.
iragen [17]

Answer:

0.0239364 N

0.0057879 N

Explanation:

\rho = Density of the gas

g = Acceleration due to gravity = 9.81 m/s²

V = Volume

Mass of rubber = 1.5 g

Buoyant force is given by

F_b=\rho gV\\\Rightarrow F_b=1.22\times 9.81\times 2\times 10^{-3}\\\Rightarrow F_b=0.0239364\ N

The buoyant force is 0.0239364 N

Net vertical force is given by

F_n=F_b-W_{He}-W_{r}\\\Rightarrow F_n=0.0239364-0.175\times 2\times 10^{-3}\times 9.81-1.5\times 10^{-3}\times 9.81\\\Rightarrow F_n=0.0057879\ N

The net vertical force is 0.0057879 N

A. How does the speed of light in a vacuum change when observed from two different frames of reference?
anyanavicka [17]

a) It is absolute, so it does not change.

b) Inertial ones.

c) Inside the train the time will slow down relatively to the outside clock. So if one travel at nearly the speed if light for 2 hours on his clock, for outdoor observers it will look like 3 hours.

A volumetric flow rate of 2 m^3/ s of liquid water is to be pumped from sea level to an elevation of 1200 m. Taking the density
exis [7]

Answer:

power requirement is 23.52 × 10^{6}  W

Explanation:

given data

flow rate q = 2 m³/s

elevation h = 1200 m

density of the water ρ = 1000 kg/m³

to find out

power requirement

solution

we will get power by the power equation that is

power = ρ× Q× g× h   ...................1

put here all value we get power

power = ρ× Q× g× h

power = 1000 × 2 × 9.8 × 1200

power = 23.52 × 10^{6}

so power requirement is 23.52 × 10^{6}  W
