Sqrt(x^2) = sqrt(20)

x = +2sqrt(5)
x = -2sqrt(5)

x1 = (- 0 + sqrt(0^2 - 4*1*(-20))) / (2*1)
X2 = (-0 - sqrt(0^2 - 4*1*(-20))) / (2*1)

Tony had $360 in his savings account. His bank wants to make two transactions. A withdrawal as -$45 and a deposit as $25.What is
romanna [79]

Answer:

His balance will be $340.

Step-by-step explanation:

1.) 360-45=315

- You do this because when you make a withdrawal you are removing a specific amount of money from your account. In this example you are making a withdrawal (removing) of $45 from your account of $360.

2.) 315+25=340

- You did this because a deposit is a specific amount of money you are adding. In this example you are depositing (adding) $25 to your new total of $315.

A youth group is setting up camp. Rain is predicted, so the campers decide to build a fly, or rain cover, over their tent. The f
inessss [21]
Most of the information's required for finding the answer is already given in the question.
Height of the fly = 12 feet
Width of the fly = 16 feet
Now we can find the length of the poles using Pythagoras theorem.

Length of the poles = square root [(12)^2 + (8)^2]
                               = square root (144 + 64)
                               = square root (208)
                               = 14.4 feet
From the above deduction, we can conclude that the height of the poles needed to be 14.4 feet. I hope the answer has helped you.

Subtracting a positive and adding a negative number are completely different operations. T/F?
bezimeni [28]

Here's how you can solve this question yourself:

4 - 2 = 2

-4 + -2 = -6

So, the answer would be "false" or the second option. As you can see from the examples above they're not the same one equals a negative one equals a positive.

Hope this helps.
