The answer she has is not correct.
All the steps she did are correct, except they forgot to convert the decimal answer into the proper percentage by multiplying it by 100.

The correct answer should be 0.125 * 100 = 12.5%

Find the area of the figure in the image attached. Round to the nearest tenth if necessary.
cricket20 [7]

Answer:

186 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

*First we can move the shape around a bit to make it simpler to solve. If we take the triangle from the left side and move it over to the right, it connects with the other piece to create a rectangle. This leave two rectangles total which is much easier to solve.

*To find the length of the right rectangle, you take the 22 cm at the bottom and subtract the 12 cm (which is being used as the length for the left rectangle). This will give you a length of 10 cm long.

Left rectangle:

A = lh

A = 12 (8)

A = 96 cm²

Right rectangle:

A = lh

A = 10 (9)

A = 90 cm²

Total:

A = 90 + 96

A = 186 cm²

Erin has 5 cans of juice and drinks 1/3 of a can daily. in how many days will she empty all the cans she has? I think it's 1/15
In-s [12.5K]
The correct answer to your question is 15 days because if she drinks 1/3 of a can a day it will take 3 days to drink one can. Now multiple the 3 days for one can by the 5 cans and you get 15 days to finish all of the cans.

5. The scale of a map says that 8 cm represents 5 km.
sleet_krkn [62]

Answer:

a. 12.8 cm    b. 3.125

Step-by-step explanation:

To find any scale drawing use a proportion with one unit of values on the top and the other on the bottom. For example 8cm/5km = x/8km. So you would multiply 8 cm and 8 km and then divide by 5 to get 12.8 cm. For the second question plug in 5m in the numerator and solve for its denominator.
