Answer:

The charges will be the same after 4 hours.

Step-by-step explanation:

Total Amount = y

Number of hours = x for x > 2

Garage A: y = $7.00 + (x - 2)*3

Garage B: y = 3.25*x

Part 3: What is the cost to be equal?

3.25x = 7 + 3(x - 2)                     Remove the brackets

3.25x = 7 + 3x - 6                       Collect terms on the right

3.25x = 3x + 1                              Subtract 3x from both sides.

3.25x - 3x = 3x - 3x + 1               Combine

0.25x = 1                                     Divide by 0.25

0.25 x/0.25 = 1 / 0.25

x = 4 hours.

The expression 14s(s - 1) can be used to find
Fantom [35]

Answer:

B. The variable s represents the number of students in each class.

C. The coefficient 14 represents the number of classes in the 9th grade.

Step-by-step explanation:

The total number can be found by multiplying the number of the things with the number of people producing it. For example if 5 boys make 5  colored ropes the total number of ropes will be 5*5= 25.

In this question the combinations rule is used for variuos number of classes which are 14. Now we have to find the number of students which are s (s-1). Suppose s= 6 so the number of students would be 6(6-1) = 6(5) = 30

We will multiply the number of classes 14 with the number of students s(s-1) to get the total number of cards produced.

adoni [48]

Answer:

a. 8 outcomes

b. Discrete Variable

c. See explanation below

Step-by-step explanation:

a.

Let N = No Offers made

Let Y = Offers made

The Expected outcome are as follows:

NNN, NNY, NYN, YNN, NYY, YNY, YYN, YYY

= 8

b.

Let x = number of offers made

X is said to be discrete if x can take values that are restricted to a defined or limited values

X is said to be continuous if x can take a range of values that is not restricted to any range(i.e. continuous)

Looking at the brief description above, we can conclude that x is discrete

c.

NNN, 0

NNY, 1

NYN, 1

YNN, 1

NYY, 2

YNY, 2

YYN, 2

YYY, 3

Where 0 to 3 represents number of offers at every instance
