Answer: 1. A2 + B2 => 2 AB

2. 2 A + 3 B => A2B3

3. 2 A + 3 B2 => 2 AB3

4. A2 + 2 B2 => 2 AB2

5. 2 A2 + 3 B2 => 2 A2B3

Explanation: So to make the equations balance we will put numerical coefficients on each variable so that the total number of atoms will be equal on each side.

For number 1 we will put 2 on AB to balance the reactant. For number 2, we will write 2 on A and 3 in B in the reactant side. For number 3, write 2 on A and 3 on B2 in the reactant and 2 on AB3 in the product side. For number 4, the coeffecients are 1:2:2 and lastly on number 5 the coeffencients are 2:3:2.

Persuasive argument against the nuclear warfare
antoniya [11.8K]
That only 250 warhead are needed to put the earth in nuclear winter
A Tsar Bomba (nuke with highest yield of 100,000 megatons developed by the Russians)in Tokyo results in 12 million dead instantly and a further 5 million in slow death.
Only the supergiants (US,Soviet Union,China,India,Uk,France,Pakistan,Israel and North K) have nukes with a fewer number of countries in the nuclear triad “hub”(US,Soviets,China,India) therefore these posses an unfair disadvantage.
Avearage nuke yield is 100 megatons which can wipe out a whole country.

They are not effective as one would use them unless they want to watch WW3 from their TV.

They produce high amount of radiation when you make them
Once produced they take a long time to dismantle.

I know everything about nukes so don’t hesitate to ask me about the topic:)

How many moles of Aluminum are produced when34.2 g of alumina are broken down through the process of electrolysis
Elan Coil [88]

Answer:

0.670 mol

Explanation:

Step 1: Write the balanced reaction for the decomposition of alumina

2 Al₂O₃ ⇒ 4 Al + 3 O₂

Step 2: Calculate the moles corresponding to 34.2 g of Al₂O₃

The molar mass of Al₂O₃ is 101.96 g/mol.

34.2 g × 1 mol/101.96 g = 0.335 mol

Step 3: Calculate the moles of Al produced from 0.335 moles of Al₂O₃

The molar ratio of Al₂O₃ to Al is 2:4.

0.335 mol Al₂O₃ × (4 mol Al/2 mol Al₂O₃) = 0.670 mol Al

Why is it harder to remove an electron from fluorine than from carbon, or, to put it another way, why are the valence electrons
AlladinOne [14]

Answer:

5. The valence electrons of both fluorine and carbon are found at about the same distance from their respective nuclei but the greater positive charge of the fluorine nucleus attracts its valence electrons more strongly.

Explanation:

Both fluorine and carbon are located in the second period of the periodic table, it means that they have 2 shells, so the valence electrons are found at about the same distance from their respective nuclei.

But fluorine has a higher atomic number, 9, than the carbon, 6. The atomic number represents how many protons there are in the nucleus, then there are more protons (positive charge) at the fluorine nucleus, and because of that, the attraction force between the nucleus and the valence electron is stronger in fluorine.

If the force is stronger, it will be necessary more energy to break the bond, so it will be harder to remove an electron from fluorine than from carbon.

If a decrease in temperature accompanies a reaction,what occurred? energy was destroyed energy was restored energy was created e
forsale [732]
I think the correct answer from the choices listed above would be the last option. If a decrease in temperature accompanies a reaction, then energy was absorbed which means that the reaction is endothermic. Hope this answers the question. Have a nice day.
