Answer: Option C) 9.63 joules

Explanation:

Mass of object = 8.8kg

Speed of object = ?

Kinetic energy = ?

Momentum of the object = 13 kgm/s

Recall that momentum is a product of mass M and speed V of a moving object.

Thus, Momentum = Mass x Speed

13 kgm/s = 8.8kg x V

V = (13kgm/s ➗ 8.8kg)

V = 1.48 m/s

Now, that the speed of the object is known, calculate its kinetic energy. And, its kinetic energy depends on its mass M and speed, V

Thus, Kinetic energy = 1/2 x mv^2

= 1/2 x 8.8kg x (1.48m/s)^2

= 0.5 x 8.8kg x (1.48m/s)^2

= 4.4 x (1.48m/s)^2

= 9.63 joules

Thus, the kinetic energy of the object is

9.63 joules

Answer: v= 1.23 m/s θ = 75.3º

Explanation:

First of all, we define the direction in which both fruits are tossed as the x axis, so all initial momenta have horizontal components only.

Now, if no external forces act during collision (due to the infinitesimal time during which collision takes place) momentum must be conserved.

As momentum is a vector, both components must be conserved, so we can write the following equations:

p₁ₓ = p₂ₓ ⇒ -m₁ . vi₁ +m₂. vi₂ = m₁ . vf₁ . cos θ  (1)

p₁y = p₂y ⇒ 0 =m₂ . vf₂ - m₁. vf₁. sin θ (2)

Replacing by the values of m1, m₂, vi₁, vi₂, and vf₂, we can calculate the value of the angle θ, that the apple forms with the horizontal, as follows:

(1) -0.13 Kg. 1.05 m/s + 0.15 Kg. 1.18 m/s = 0.13. vf . cos θ

(2) 0.15 Kg. 1.03 m/s = 0.13 vf. sin θ

sin θ / cos θ = 3.82 ⇒ tg θ = 3.82 ⇒ θ = arc tg (3.82) = 75.3º

Replacing this value of θ in (2), we get:

0.15 kg. 1.03 m/s = 0.13 vf . sin 75.3º = 0.13 . vf . 0.967

Solving for vf, we get:

vf = 0.15 kg. 1.03 m/s / 0.13. 0.967 = 1.23 m/s

What conclusion can be drawn from the statement that an element has high electron affinity, high electronegativity, and a high i
amid [387]

Answer:

D) The element is most likely from Group 6A or 7A and in period 2 or 3.

Explanation:

Electronegativity of an atom is the tendency of an atom to attract shared paired of electron to itself. Electronegativity increase across the period from left to right.The ability of an atom to attract electron to itself is electronegativity. Group 7A and 6A elements can easily attract atoms to itself so they are highly electronegative. The most electronegative element in the periodic table is fluorine.Group 6A and 7A is likely to have high electronegativity.

Electron affinity of an atom is the amount of energy release when an atom gains electron . Generally, when atom gains electron they become negatively charged. Group 6A and 7A elements have high electron affinity.

Ionization energy is the energy required to remove one or more electron from a neutral atom to form cations.  ionization energy of group 7A and 6A are usually high because the energy required to remove these electron is usually very high . The elements in this groups usually gain electron easily so the energy to remove electron is very high.

What is the square root of 25x10^12
kirill115 [55]

\sqrt{25 \times 10^{12} }

In order to find it's square root, we could make it into two square roots.

\sqrt{25 \times 10^{12} } = \sqrt{25} \times \sqrt{10^{12}}

Let us find the square roots of both radicals seprately.

\sqrt{25} =\sqrt{5*5}=5

Each  pair  of a number inside square root gives a number out .

\sqrt{10^{12}} = \sqrt{10*10*10*10*10*10*10*10*10*10*10*10}   \ \ ( \ makes \ 6 \ pairs \ of \ 10 )

\sqrt{10*10*10*10*10*10*10*10*10*10*10*10} = 10*10*10*10*10*10

= 10^6.

Therefore,

\sqrt{25 \times 10^{12} }=\sqrt{25} \times \sqrt{10^{12}}={5 \times 10^6}

\sqrt{25 \times 10^{12} } = {5 \times 10^6}
