Ginny has a sheet of plywood that is 4 feet by 8 feet. She wants to saw the plywood into pieces 1 foot high and 2 feet long for

signs. How many signs can she make with the sheet of plywood?
Mathematics

Lerok [7]3 years ago
8 0
To solve this problem you first get the area of the plywood that is 4' by 8'
4 * 8 = 32

Next you get the area of the pieces, which is 1' by 2'
1 * 2 = 2

Next you see how many pieces will go into the whole plywood.

32 / 2 = 16
So she can make 16 signs.

In the real world this would not be possible because you have to take in the fact the saw blade thickness which cuts the wood and takes a little bit of the wood away per cut but for Acadima this will suffice.

In a computer game, a bird flies at a height of 1,281 feet. At the same time, a fish swims 282 feet below sea level. What is the
fenix001 [56]
To find the difference, we need to subtract the height of the fish from the height of the bird. If we use sea level as 0, then the bird flies at 1,281 feet, and the fish swims at -282 feet.

1,281 - (-282) = 1,281 + 282 = 1,563 feet

There is a 1,563 feet difference between the height of the bird and the depth of the fish

Which function below has the lowest y intercept? f(x) graph going through (0, 5) and (2, 1) g(x) Kyle started the summer having
mr Goodwill [35]
First find the slope of f(x).

m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

m=(1-5)/(2-0)

m=-4/2

m=-2

y=-2x+b, using (2,1) we can solve for the y-intercept, "b"

1=-2(2)+b

1=-4+b

5=b

y=-2x+5

So f(x) has a y-intercept of 5

g(x)=6m+3

So g(x) has a y-intercept of 3

h(x)=3x+4

So h(x) has a y-intercept of 4

Then g(x) has the lowest y-intercept of just 3.

Suppose the null hypothesis is not rejected. State the conclusion based on the results of the test. Three years ago, the mean p
Likurg_2 [28]

Answer:

A. There is not sufficient evidence to conclude that the mean price of a single-family home has decreased

Step-by-step explanation:

To study : Whether the mean price of single family home has decreased or not -

Null Hypothesis [H0] = There is no change in mean price of single family home

Alternate Hypothesis [H1] = There is change (decrease) in mean price of single family home

If the null hypothesis is not rejected, it implies that 'there is no change in mean price of single family home' has been statistically accepted.

So, it states that - There is not sufficient evidence to conclude that the mean price of a single-family home has decreased
