A solution with electrolytes will contain ions therefore a solution with a nonelectrical should not contain ions. Iodine I₂  and hexane are nonpolar molecules which contain covalent bonds, so in this case there are no ions in solution.

Answer:Iodine in hexane

Explanation:

An electrolyte is a solution that decomposes upon passage of direct current. An electrolyte must contain ions that dissociate under the influence of external direct current. Solution of ionic substances in polar solvents produce good electrolytes such as a solution of NaCl in water. However, a solution of a nonpolar substance such as iodine in a nonpolar solvent such as hexane is not an not electrolyte. Such solutions contain no ions and do not interact with direct current.

In aqueous solution, hypobromite ion, BrO-, reacts to produce bromate ion, BrO3 -, and bromide ion, Br-, according to the follow
maw [93]

Answer:

22.73s

Explanation:

The reaction is a second order reaction, we know this by observing the unit of the slope.

rate constant = k = 0.056 M-1s-1

the initial concentration of BrO- [A]o = 0.80 M

time = ?

Final concentration [A]t= one-half of 0.80 M = 0.40M

1 / [A]t = kt + 1 / [A]o

1 / 0.40 = 0.056 * t + 1 / 0.80

t = (2.5 - 1.25) / 0.056

t = 22.73s

What is the mass, in grams, of 0.0490 mol of iron(III) phosphate
horrorfan [7]

Answer:

m = 7.39 g.

Explanation:

Hello!

In this case, since the molar mass of iron (III) phosphate is 150.82 g/mol based on its molecular formula (FePO₄), we can compute the mass in grams of 0.0490 moles of this compound by setting up the following dimensional analysis:

m=0.0490mol*\frac{150.82g}{1mol} \\\\m=7.39 g

Best regards!

Molecular weight of PbCl2 = 278 g/mole Mass of beaker + PbCl2 = 62.19 g Mass of beaker = 57.77 g Mass of PbCl2 per 100 mL = g Mo
levacccp [35]
PbCl2--->Pb2+  +  2Cl-

The  mass   of  PbCl2   is   =mass   of  the  beaker+Pbcl2  minus   mass  of  the  beaker
that  is  62.19-57.77g=  4.42grams

moles  of PbCl2=  4.42g/278g/m0l = 0.0159moles

concentration  of  (Pb2+)
since  mole  ratio  of  PbCl2  to  Pb2+  is   1:1  therefore  the  moles  of  Pb2+  is  also  0.0159moles
concentration  =0.0159/100 x1000=0.159M

concentration  of  CI-  is  two  time  that  of  Pb2+  from  the  equation  above  therefore  concentration   of  Cl-  =  0.159 x2  =0.318M
