I assume the relationship is linear in the form y = mx +c

If (5,4) is on the line we can calculate the equation

gradient m = change in y over change in x, = 4/5

y = 4/5 * x +c

4 = 4/5 * 5 +c

c = 0

y = 4/5 x

Part a if x = 1 then y = 4/5

part b is 2 times (5,4) so 10 pounds of potatoes cost 8 dollers

Answer:

with proportional relationships, you can simply divide the y coordinate by the x coordinate to find the unit rate: In this case, if (5,4) lies on the line then you have 5 lbs of potatoes for 4 dollars or .80 cents for 1lb of potatoes. The point (10,8) represents 10 lbs of potatoes for 8 dollars. Here you can see that dividing 8 by 10 we once again get the unit rate of .80 cents per 1 lb of potatoes.

x = lbs of potatoes and y = price(4,3)....this means 4 lbs of potatoes cost $ 33/4 = 0.75 cents per lb <== 1 lb of potatoes cost 0.75(8,6)...this means that 8 lbs of potatoes cost $ 6

Hope this helps

261,256,251 find the 50th term
marshall27 [118]

Answer:

a_{50}=16

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

An airthmetic sequence,

261,256,251

We need to find the 50th term.

We have,

first term, a = 261

common difference = 256-261 = -5

The nth term of the AP is given by :

a_n=a+(n-1)d\\\\a_{50}=a+49d\\\\a_{50}=261+49(-5)\\\\a_{50}=16

So, the 50th term of the sequence is 16.

Answer:

the room square side is 4.8m

Area of the room is= 4.8=²23.04²m

perimeter of square tiles=4a =1.2

a=1.2/4

or a=o.3m

area of the square tiles =0.3²=0.09m²

numbers of the tiles are rcover floor of the room

23.0.4/0.09=256

each tiles cost Rs 27

the total cost=256*27=6912

the th coalst cover by the th floor is Rs .6912
