When you lay down your weight is distributed over a much larger surface area than while standing. You are putting a much greater force on a much smaller area standing.

The table shows information about four students who are running around a track. Which statement is supported by the information
murzikaleks [220]

Answer:

Mohammed has less kinetic energy than Autumn

Explanation:

The kinetic energy of each student is given by:

K=\frac{1}{2}mv^2

where

m is the mass of the student

v is the speed of the student

Let's use the formula above to calculate the kinetic energy of each student:

- Autumn: K=\frac{1}{2}(50 kg)(4 m/s)^2=400 J

- Mohammed: K=\frac{1}{2}(57 kg)(3 m/s)^2=256.5 J

- Lexy: K=\frac{1}{2}(53 kg)(3 m/s)^2=238.5 J

- Chiang: K=\frac{1}{2}(64 kg)(5 m/s)^2=800 J

Therefore, by looking at the numbers, we see that the correct answer is

Mohammed has less kinetic energy than Autumn

From the formula for Electric Power, P = IV,    P = V²/R

So the 100W compared to the 50W.

From P = IV. From the equation there is a direct relationship between P and I.  More  Power P means more Current, I.

From P = V²/R. From the equation, there is an inverse relationship
between P and R. Therefore  more P means less R.

So from these assertions, the answer is:

(1) less resistance and draws more current

Receiver maxima problem. When the receiver moves through one cycle, how many maxima of the standing wave pattern does the receiv
shusha [124]

Answer:

Two.

Explanation:

  • A standing wave or stationary wave are the type of wave in which it oscillates with time but the amplitude does not move.
  • One complete wave consists of two loops.
  • It means that when the receiver moves through one cycle, two maxima of standing wave pattern the receiver pass through.

Show that the expression pRT has the same units as the pressure, and thus that the ideal gas law is dimensionally consistent.
Gemiola [76]

Answer and Explanation:

We have given the expression \rho RT

Dimension of \rho =ML^{-3}

Dimension of R which is gas constant=ML^2T^{-2}\Theta ^{-1}M^{-1}

Dimension of temperature T \Theta ^{-1}

And dimension of pressure ML^{-1}T^{-2}

Now combine dimension of \rho RT =ML^{-3}ML^2T^{-2}\Theta ^{-1}M^{-1}\Theta ^{-1}=ML^{-1}T^{-2}

So the dimension of \rho RT  and dimension P is same so there unit will also be same

From ideal gas equation we know that PV=nRT

P=\frac{n}{V}RT=\rho RT

As the both P and  \rho RT  has same dimension so they are dimensionally constant
