Suppose the B string on a guitar is 24" long and vibrates with a frequency of about 247 Hz. You place your finger on the 5th fre
pashok25 [27]

To solve this problem it is necessary to apply the related concepts to string vibration. This concept shows the fundamental frequency of a string due to speed and length, that is,

f = \frac{v}{2L}

Where

v = Velocity

L = Length

Directly if the speed is maintained the frequency is inversely proportional to the Length:

f \propto \frac{1}{L}

Therefore the relationship between two frequencies can be described as

\frac{f_2}{f_1}=\frac{l_1}{l_2}

f_2 = \frac{l_1}{l_2}(f_1)

Our values are given as,

l_1 = 24"\\f_1 = 247Hz\\l_2 = 18"

Therefore the second frequency is

f_2 = \frac{l_1}{l_2}(f_1)\\f_2 = \frac{24}{18}(247)\\f_2 = 329.33Hz

The frequency allocation of 329Hz is note E.

sound sensor display reads 40 dB inside and outside it reads 80dB. how many times louder is it outside than inside?
LuckyWell [14K]

The difference is (80 dB - 40 dB) = 40 dB.

The sound is 40 dB louder outside.

Each 10 dB means 10 times more sound power.

40 dB louder means 10x10x10x10 times more sound power.

That's <em>10,000 times</em> more sound power outside than inside.

A 45-year-old man is meeting his doctor for his annual physical. He suffers from Type 2 diabetes and has a family history of cor
shutvik [7]

Answer:

The man is on the verge of having a heart attack or a stroke.

Explanation:

If he has a family history of coronary (heart) disease, it means it could normally affect. Normally here means without anything aggravating it. It's already in his lineage so he could have it.

Now, he's past middle age - he's 45. He's past the growing stages of life. His organs are fully developed herefore.

Now also, he suffers from Type 2 diabetes. Although this is sometimes milder than Type 1 diabetes, it increases the risk of having a heart disease or a stroke!

Soda, especially sweetened one, is not to be taken too often because it can cause Diabetes Mellitus. For a diabetes patient, this should be a "no-go-area". Taking this constantly (everyday at work) will now put this 45-year-old man in harm's way.

He is no more at risk of having complications but already on the path to a heart disease or a stroke.
