The answer is shown below:

 "The diurnal motion" of the stars is defined as the apparent daily motion of stars around the Earth.  The cause for this "apparent motion of stars" was proposed by Heraclides (who was a Greek philosopher and astronomer). He afirmed that  this was created by the Earth's rotation on its axis, which is completed in 23 hours, 56 minutes and 4.09 seconds.

g the space in between two glass sheets has a volume of 0.025 m3. If the temperature of the gas is 290 K, what is the rms speed
Keith_Richards [23]

Complete Question

Argon gas (a monatomic gas) is sometimes used to insulate a double-pane window for purposes of insulation. In a particular window, the space in between two glass sheets has a volume of 0.025 \ m^3. If the temperature of the gas is 290 K. what is the rms speed of the gas atoms? The atomic mass of Argon is 39.9 u.(l u= 1.66x10-27 kg) Enter your answer in m/s

Answer:

The value is V_{rms} = 425.75 \  m/s

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

     The volume of the space in between the two glass sheet is  a = 0.025 \ m^3

     The temperature of the gas is T =  290 \  K

       The atomic mass of Argon is  m  = 39.9 \  u  =  39.9 * 1.66 *10^{-27} = 6.623 *10^{-26} \  kg

Generally the root mean square velocity is mathematically represented as

      V_{rms} =  \sqrt{\frac{3 K T}{ m } }

Here K is the Boltzmann constant  with value k  =  1.38 *10^{-23} \  m^3 \cdot kg \cdot s^{-2} \cdot K^{-1}

So

     V_{rms} =  \sqrt{\frac{3 *  1.38 *10^{-23} *  290 }{ 6.6234*10^{-26} } }

=>   V_{rms} = 425.75 \  m/s

The starships of the Solar Federation are marked with the symbol of the Federation, a circle, whereas starships of the Denebian
Llana [10]

Complete question

The complete question is shown on the first uploaded image

Answer:

The velocity is  v = c* \sqrt{1 -  \frac{1}{n^2} }

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

           a = nb

The length of the minor axis  of  the symbol of the Federation, a circle, seen by the observer at velocity v must be equal to the minor axis(b) of the  Empire's symbol, (an ellipse)

Now this length seen by the observer can be mathematically represented as

        h = t \sqrt{1 - \frac{v^2}{c^2} }

Here t  is the actual length of the major axis of of the  Empire's symbol, (an ellipse)

So t = a = nb

and  b is the length of the minor axis of the symbol of the Federation, (a circle) when seen by an observer at velocity v which from the question must be the length of the minor axis of the of the  Empire's symbol, (an ellipse)

 i.e    h = b

So

    b  =  nb  [\sqrt{1 - \frac{v^2}{c^2} } ]

     [\frac{1}{n} ]^2 =  1 -  \frac{v^2}{c^2}

      v^2 =c^2 [1- \frac{1}{n^2} ]

       v^2 =c^2 [\frac{n^2 -1}{n^2} ]

        v = c* \sqrt{1 -  \frac{1}{n^2} }

Exactly one pound of bread dough is placed in a baking tin. The dough is cooked in an oven at 350°F, releasing a wonderful aroma
Morgarella [4.7K]

Answer:

The mass of the baked loaf will be less than the dough.

Explanation: When heat is applied to food substance or products like the one pound the substance or material gains a higher temperature, the increase in temperature causes moisture inherent or added to the product in this case the one pound dough to be lost, the one pound dough prepared at room temperature, once it is placed inside the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit it will lose moisture  in the form of vapor to the environment as noticed in the aroma, the moisture lost will eventually reduce it mass/weight (kilograms or grams) by some percentage or quantities(kilograms or grams)
