If x is the childrens ticket
4(x + 1.5) + 5x = 33.30 \\ 4x + 6 + 5x = 33.3 \\ 9x = 33.3 - 6 \\ 9x = 27.3 \\ x =  \frac{27.3}{6}  \\ x = 4.55
so that means that the adults ticket is
x + 1.50 = 4.55 + 1.50 = 6.05

(x-6)(x+2)=0 <-- Use FOIL tactic 

x²+2x-6x-12=0

x²-4x-12=0 

As you can see, this is identical to the initial equation given. The x values would be 6 and -2, as seen from the factored equation.
