The volume drop is 432-297= 135

135 books is a fraction 135/432 of the original volume 432. That is (x100): 31.25%

So the sales went down by 31.25%

Alexus [3.1K]

Answer:

6 for cherry

19 for blackberry

Step-by-step explanation:

Cherry = x

Blackberry = y

<u>Make system of equations:</u>

Castel:

13x + y = 97

Jasmine:

6x + 3y = 93

<u>Substitution w/ Castel's equation:</u>

y = 97 - 13x

<em>Put into Jasmine's equation</em>

6x + 3(97 - 13x) = 93

6x + 291 - 39x = 93

291 - 33x = 93

-33x = -198

x = 6 $ per Cherry Pie

<u>Plug x = 6 into any equation (choose Castel's):</u>

13(6) + y = 97

y + 78 = 97

y = 19 $ per Blackberry Pie

\bf cot(\theta)=\cfrac{1}{tan(\theta)}&#10;\qquad \qquad &#10;csc(\theta)=\cfrac{1}{sin(\theta)}\qquad \qquad sin(-\theta )=-sin(\theta )&#10;\\\\\\&#10;\textit{also recall }sin^2(\theta)+cos^2(\theta)=1\implies sin^2(\theta)=1-cos^2(\theta)\\\\&#10;-------------------------------

\bf \cfrac{csc^2(x)-cot^2(x)}{sin(-x)cot(x)}\implies \cfrac{\frac{1}{sin^2(x)}-\frac{cos^2(x)}{sin^2(x)}}{-sin(x)\frac{cos(x)}{sin(x)}}\implies \cfrac{\frac{1-cos^2(x)}{sin^2(x)}}{-cos(x)}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;\cfrac{\frac{sin^2(x)}{sin^2(x)}}{-cos(x)}\implies \cfrac{1}{-cos(x)}\implies -sec(x)
