Which statement best describes a risk associated with using radioisotopes in nuclear reactors? A Radioisotopes are very expensiv

e and do not produce the amount of energy that coal and oil produce. B If the radiation were to leak out of the reactors, it could produce an abundance of new plants and organisms. C Radioisotopes are extremely difficult to obtain and can only be retrieved from the Sun. D If the radiation were to leak out of the reactors, it could cause significant damage to living organisms.

nignag [31]

Answer:

Hi there!

I'm sorry your sister is struggling!

I am an edgenuity student in grade 11, I could probably help!

A trend is a line on a graph that all points seem to follow. This is best explained when thinking about line of best fit. If all your points go upward each time and are closed together, we can find the line that gets closest to each point!

Think of a trend as a pattern. The line of best fit, created by analyzing the trends, helps us guess at what the data points beyond what we have will equal

Is there any clarification she needs?

A ball is thrown down vertically with an initial speed of 31 ft/s from a height of 40 ft. (a) What is its speed just before it s
ICE Princess25 [194]

Answer:

a. 41.96ft/s

b. 1.096s

Explanation:

a. v²=u²+2gs

v²=31²+2×10×40

V=41.96ft/s

b. t=(v-u) /g

t=(41.96-31)/10

t=1.096s

Which would melt first, germanium with a melting point of 1210 k or gold with a melting point of 1064oc?
iren2701 [21]
Germanium To determine which melts first, convert their melting temperatures so they're both expressed on same scale. It doesn't matter what scale you use, Kelvin, Celsius, of Fahrenheit. Just as long as it's the same scale for everything. Since we already have one substance expressed in Kelvin and since it's easy to convert from Celsius to Kelvin, I'll use Kelvin. So convert the melting point from Celsius to Kelvin for Gold by adding 273.15 1064 + 273.15 = 1337.15 K So Germanium melts at 1210K and Gold melts at 1337.15K. Germanium has the lower melting point, so it melts first.
