> and < with the lines under it mean that they can also be equal to the constant on the other side (greater/less than or equal to)

So x <= 3 can be anything less than 3 and 3.

*the = in this inequality is the equivalent of a line

Now vice versa.

x => 3 can be anything greater than 3 and 3.

Now for the dots.

The open dots in signs are (< and >).

Basically they start at that point they are on but don't include it.

So an open dot at 3 pointing to the left means that the value is greater than 3 but does not include 3.

The closed dots in signs are (<= and =>).

They start at the point and include it.

So a closed dot a 3 pointing to the left means that the value is greater than 3 and includes 3.

Arrows.

Arrows pointing to the left mean that the values are getting bigger.

Arrows pointing to the right mean that the values are getting smaller.

ie : An arrow pointing to the left with a starting point at 3 = 3 and anything bigger, such as 4.

ie : An arrow pointing to the right with a starting point at 3 = 3 and anything smaller, such as 2.

Solve for problems.

The main concept is isolate the variable.

This basically means make the variable be lonely ^^

Use +, -, *, and /

Ex : 6x + 2 > 3

First, we would subtract 2 from both sides.

6x > 1

Then, we would divide each side by 6, leaving the x alone.

x > 1/6

And voila! x is anything greater than 1/6 but it does not include 1/6.

Hope this helps! ^^

Step-by-step explanation:

Ok so we will have an example problem:

19<20

The "alligator" or this sign "<" points in the direction of the number that is greater in value. So in this case 20 is greater.

Example Problem: x≤20

This sign (≤) means that 20 is greater or equal to x

Example Problem: 30=30

The equal sign (=) means that both numbers is equal.

Solve for problems:

x+2=7

We have a variable which we need to solve for.

This equation is saying x plus 2 equals 7.

So we need to find what number plus x equals 7.

We need to get x all alone to one side.

In an equation whatever you do to one side you do to another side.

So we do: x+2=7 : Subtract two from both sides, since we need to cancel out the positive two.

We get x=5. This means 2 plus 5 equals 7.

Double check: 2+5=7

Hopes this helps, message me for any other questions!

Kaapo is mixing Kona beans and Maui beans to make 25 pounds of coffee blend. Kona beans cost Kaapo $15 per pound and Maui beans
son4ous [18]

Answer:

Kaapo will use 17.5 pounds of Kona beans and 7.5 pounds of Maui beans for his blend to cost him $ 17.70 per pound.

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Let's review the information given to us to answer the problem correctly:

Number of pounds of the coffee blend = 25

Cost of Kona beans = US$ 15 per pound

Cost of Maui beans = US$ 24 per pound

Cost of the coffee blend = US$ 17.70 per pound

2. How many pounds of each coffee bean should Kaapo use for his blend to cost him $17.70 per pound?

Let's build our equation to answer the question, this way:

x = Number of pounds of Kona beans for Kaapo's blend

25 - x = Number of pounds of Maui beans for Kaapo's blend

Number of pounds of Kona beans for Kaapo's blend * Cost of Kona beans + Number of pounds of Maui beans for Kaapo's blend * Cost of Maui beans = Number of pounds of the coffee blend * Cost of the coffee blend

Replacing with the real values, we have:

15x + 24 (25-x) = 17.70 * 25

15x + 600 - 24x = 442.50

-9x = 442.50 - 600

-9x = -157.50

x = -157.50/-9

x = 17.50 ⇒ 25 - x = 7.50

Kaapo will use 17.5 pounds of Kona beans and 7.5 pounds of Maui beans for his blend to cost him $ 17.70 per pound.

Answer:

15.5kg

Step-by-step explanation:

12.4kg × 5 = 62kg,

= 62kg - (14.6kg + 11.4kg + 10.3kg + 10.2kg)

= 62kg - 46.5kg

= 15.5kg
