An object is constrained by a cord to move in a circular path of radius 1-m on a frictionless, horizontal surface. The cord will

Answer:

Explanation:

Let m be the mass of the object and v be the maximum velocity . The tension will provide centripetal force for the circular motion .

T = mv² / R where R is radius of circular path . T is tension .

putting the values given in the equation above

26.9 = m v² / 1

m v² = 26.9

kinetic enrgy = 1/2 m v²

= 26.9 / 2

= 13.45 J

13 J .

Maximum kinetic energy = 13 J .

The student throws one cannonball directly upward at 5.0 m/s and simultaneously throws the other cannonball directly downward at
Mademuasel [1]
Let the cannonball be thrown at a height of h above ground.
Then  the potential energy of the ball is
V = m*g*h
where
m = the mass of the ball
g = 9.8 m/s²

Also, the kinetic energy of the ball is
K = (1/2)mu²
where
u = 5 m/s, the vertical launch velocity.
Ignore wind resistance.

Because the total energy is preserved, the total energy (n the form of only kinetic energy) when the ball strikes the ground is
(1/2)mV²
where V = vertical velocity when the ball strikes the ground.

Expressions for both the initial and final energy are equal regardless of whether the ball s thrown downward or upward.
Therefore there is no difference in the landing speed.

Answer: There is no difference.

Convert 1.5 radian into milliradians.
Alex

Answer:

1500 milliradians

Explanation:

Data provided in the question:

1.5 radians

Now,

1 radians consists of  1000 milliradians

1 milli = 1000

thus for the 1.5 radians, we have

1.5 radians = 1.5 multiplied by 1000 milliradians

or

1.5 radians = 1500 milliradians

Hence, after the conversion

1.5 radians equals to the value 1500 milliradians

An arrow is fired vertically upwards by a bow and reaches an altitude of 134 m. Find the initial speed of the arrow on the groun
Verdich [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

Let the initial speed be u . final speed = 0

v² = u² - 2gh

v is final speed , u is initial speed , h is height .

0 = u² - 2g x 134

u² = 2 x 9.8 x 134

u = 51.25 m /s .
