Please help me find the value of this expression 2[5(11 - 2)] - 16
german
Hello there, and thank you for asking your question here on brainly.

Short answer: 74

Why?

We have two sets of parenthesis here, and we have to do the parenthesis inside of the other parenthesis, (called brackets) first. (11 - 2 = 9) Now multiply 9 by 5. (9 × 5 = 45) Multiply 45 by 2 . . . (45 × 2 = 90) Finally, subtract 90 by 16. (90 - 16 = 74)

Hope this helped you! ♥

What is the area of an isosceles trapezoid, if the lengths of its bases are 16 cm and 30 cm and the diagonals are perpendicular
kicyunya [14]

Call the point of intersection of the diagonals point X.

Each base is the hypotenuse of an isosceles right triangle whose sides are the diagonals and whose 90° angle is at X. The altitude of that triangle (⊥ distance to the base from X) is half the length of the hypotenuse. Then the height of the trapezoid is half the sum of the base lengths.

The area of the trapezoid is the product of the height and half the sum of the base lengths, hence is the square of half the sum of the base lengths.

... Area = ((16 cm +30 cm)/2)² = (23 cm)² = 529 cm²

20 Points! Please Help!

To solve this problem yo need to have the "x", the "y", and the radius. To find the radius since it is not given we use the formula.

sq rt(-3^2+1^2)

sq rt(9+1)

sq rt(10) would be the length of the radius in this case.

Then we use the sine cosine and tangent fractions

sin:y/r

cos:x/r

tan:y/x

With the values plugged in the equations are

SIN:1/sqrt(10) Since there can´t be a sq rt in hte denominator we change it to 1(sq rt(10))/10

COS:-3/sqrt(10) Since there can´t be a sq rt in the denominator we change it to -3(sq rt(10))/10

TAN:1/-3 This one can stay the same.

This would be the measures of SIN, COS, and TAN.
