<em>Which element is shared by both " Zoos: Joys or Jails? " and "Why do we Need Zoos?”</em>

<em>The answer is D) One-sided argument.</em>

  • <em>In both " Zoos: Joys or Jails? “ and "Why do we Need Zoos?” it is clearly stated the idea of the writer against zoos. In “Zoos: Joys or Jails” the word joys compared to jails gives the ironic sensation the writer wants to give, it means people get joy out of jailing animals into zoos. The two “j’s” create a sort of rhyme that helps to the ironic or sarcastic tone.  In “Why do we need Zoos?” the idea is that there is no real purpose on having zoos.</em>

<em>Read The passage. What technique is the author using to develop point of view?</em>

<em>" Though zoos are meant to be a joy to viewers and teach lessons about our earth, the zoo jails its inhabitants and passes on faulty knowledge . "</em>

<em>The correct answer is 4) Arguments from opposing views. </em>

  • <em>In this passage, the technique helps the author in expressing the two sides of the coin, this is that people who go to zoos have fun and learn but treating animals as mere objects of entertainment.  </em>

So A doesn’t really go with it so you can rule that out. The main character doesn’t get introduced can you can rule out D too. It’s between B and C. I honestly would go with C the author sets up the hook of the story.

Black_prince [1.1K]

Answer:

Yes, on one occasion I happened to be on a very frightening ride along with a drop, when we were close to the drop I was scared to death but then, the ride came to a halt immediately before we were heading to the drop, I happened to be comforted, then I had been thinking about a thing or two since I was calm at the moment, but then, I began to get frightened due to the fact that what would occur if the ride loosens from within the chain as well as drops and group of people controlling the ride can't stop it! I was alarmed, and then when the ride started to shift I started being even more worried we were about to drop, then we did, I began being terrified than ever and everyone else was ok as if nothing bad was going to happen and nothing bad has happened, I was so terrified that I started screaming louder than ever, and after the ride stopped and ended I had finally realized that everything that had happened was a part of the ride but, my body was still shaking and I was still terrified So, I had decided that I would go on baby rides with my sister now.
