perimeter = 4s

56=4s

s=56/4 = 14

diagonal = sqrt (s^2 x 2)= sqrt(14^2 x 2) = sqrt(392) = 19.7989 cm

round answer as needed

Answer:

The approximate length of diagonal is:

19.796 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the perimeter of a square as 56 cm.

Let 's' be the side of the square.

We know that the perimeter of square is given as:

Perimeter=4\times s\\\\56=4s\\\\s=\dfrac{56}{4}\\\\s=14

Hence, the side of square is 14 cm.

Now, the length of a diagonal(D) is given as:D=\sqrt{2}s

( Since it could be proved with the help of Pythagorean Theorem )

Hence, as s=14 cm

Hence, the length of diagonal is:

D=\sqrt{2}\times 12\\\\D=1.414\times 14\\\\D=19.796\ cm

Hence, the approximate length of diagonal is:

19.796 cm.

iren2701 [21]

Answer:

Let X the random variable that represent the heights of a population, and for this case we know the distribution for X is given by:

X \sim N(\mu,0.08)

Where \mu and \sigma=0.08

Since the distribution for X is normal then the  we know that the distribution for the sample mean \bar X is given by:

\bar X \sim N(\mu, \frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}})

And the standard error is given by:

SE= \frac{0.08}{\sqrt{24}}= 0.0163

Step-by-step explanation:

Previous concepts

Normal distribution, is a "probability distribution that is symmetric about the mean, showing that data near the mean are more frequent in occurrence than data far from the mean".

The Z-score is "a numerical measurement used in statistics of a value's relationship to the mean (average) of a group of values, measured in terms of standard deviations from the mean".

Solution to the problem

Let X the random variable that represent the heights of a population, and for this case we know the distribution for X is given by:

X \sim N(\mu,0.08)

Where \mu and \sigma=0.08

Since the distribution for X is normal then the  we know that the distribution for the sample mean \bar X is given by:

\bar X \sim N(\mu, \frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}})

And the standard error is given by:

SE= \frac{0.08}{\sqrt{24}}= 0.0163

Sheldon needs to buy 8 gallons of ice cream,
kolbaska11 [484]

Answer:

The <u>larger </u>size container and the Cold farms is the better deal for Sheldon.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

1 gallon = 8 pints

2.50 \times 8 =20

Multiply  the gallons to 20

8 × 20 = 160

Then, the large size is 18.

4.50 ×4 =18 (1 Gallon= 4 quartz)

Therefore, the <u>larger </u>size container and the Cold farms is the better deal for Sheldon.
