Midpoint has x=(5+2)/2= 7/2=3.5  and y= (-3+4)/2=1/2= 0.5

Midpoint is ( 3.5 , 0.5 )

the quadrant is  (7/4, 1/4)

Answer:  The required midpoint is (3.5, 0.5) and it lies in Quadrant 1.

Step-by-step explanation:  Given that a line segment PQ has endpoints P(5, -3) and Q(2, 4).

We are to find the midpoint of PQ and the quadrant in which it lies.

We know that

the co-ordinates of the midpoint of a line segment with endpoints (a, b) and (c, d) are given by

\left(\dfrac{a+c}{2},\dfrac{b+d}{2}\right).

Therefore, the required co-ordinates of the midpoint of PQ is given by

\left(\dfrac{5+2}{2},\dfrac{-3+4}{2}\right)\\\\\\=\left(\dfrac{7}{2},\dfrac{1}{2}\right)\\\\=(3.5,0.5).

Since both the co-ordinates are positive, so the midpoint lies in Quadrant 1.

Thus, the required midpoint is (3.5, 0.5) and it lies in Quadrant 1.

Slope is rise over run. So you "rise" 6 spaces from -1 to 5 and then you "run" 5 spaces to the right i believe it will be 6/5.

The point (2, 3) is on the line given by which equation below?
love history [14]
Plug in the points and see if y and x are equal to each other.

(2,3)
y= x-1
3= 2-1
3= 1 (not the solution)

y=3x
3=3*3
3=9 (not the solution)

y=x+1
3=2+1
3=3 (solution) We can check to make sure.

y=-3x
3=-3*3
3=-9 (not the solution)

y=x+1 <em>is the answer.

I hope this helps!

Tim's phone service charges $23.22 plus an additional $0.18 for each text message sent per month. If Tim's phone bill was $27.72
Maksim231197 [3]

Step-by-step explanation:

$27.72-$23.22=$4.50

$4.50÷$0.18=25

x=25

So Tim sent 25 messages last month.

Write an equation for the graph below in terms of x
monitta

Answer:

x = y/2 - 1/2

Step-by-step explanation:

you can use the slope-intercept form of a line first, then change to terms of 'x'

y = mx + b    where 'm' is the slope and 'b' is the y-intercept

if we use two points on the line, such as (-1, -1) (0, 1), we can find the slope

m = 1-(-1) / 0-(-1)

m = 2/1

b = 1

Slope-Intercept form:  y = 2x + 1

in terms of 'x':

2x = y - 1

x = y/2 - 1/2
