7 cheese pizzas and 38 pepperoni pizzas were sold.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Cost of one pepperoni pizza = $8.50

Cost of one cheese pizza = $6.00

Total pizzas sold = 45

Total worth = $365

Let,

x be the number of pepperoni pizzas sold.

y be the number of cheese pizzas sold.

According to given statement;

x+y=45    Eqn 1

8.50x+6y=365    Eqn 2

Multiplying Eqn 1 by 6

6(x+y=45)\\6x+6y=270\ \ \ Eqn\ 3

Subtracting Eqn 3 from Eqn 2

(8.50x+6y)-(6x+6y)=365-270\\8.50x+6y-6x-6y=95\\2.50x=95

Dividing both sides by 2.50

\frac{2.50x}{2.50}=\frac{95}{2.50}\\x=38

Putting x=38 in Eqn 1

38+y=45\\y=45-38\\y=7

7 cheese pizzas and 38 pepperoni pizzas were sold.

Li deposited $17,500 into a bank account that earned simple interest each year. After 2 years, he had earned $2975 in interest.
Nimfa-mama [501]
Let x is the interest rate

$17,500 * 2 * x = <span>$2975
</span>$35,000x = $2,975
x = $2,975/$35,000
<span>x = 0.085

0.085 * 100 = 8.5%

Answer: annual interest rate was 8.5%

Determine if the side lengths 2.1in,4in,7.9in form a triangle
Dimas [21]
Nope.

They don't meet the requirements of the triangle inequality.
2.1 + 4 = 6.1 < 7.9
The triangle inequality requires the sum of any two sides be greater than the third side.

What is the spees of the boat in meters per
Dahasolnce [82]
Answer C. 2.00 Meters/second

1 kilometer = 1000 meter
1 hour = 3600 seconds

7.2 x 1000 = 7200
so 7200 meters an hour
or 7200 meters every 3600 seconds
7200/3600
we then want the 3600 to become one second to find meters per (1)second.
so 7200/3600 simplified = 2. 2 meters per second
